This topic just reached a thousand posts! Wow!
Since you were able to post, this thread is obviously not locked.I forgot if this applies to story threads but that usually means it's locked and Sis will have to make a new one......that only usually though...
Well, the mods generally lock it when they see it has reached 1000 posts (its not automatic), but I'm pretty sure this is an exception.Since you were able to post, this thread is obviously not locked.![]()
Pah, that's nothing. I got like two hours of sleep last night because I was reading through the entire thing.I was going to go to bed three hours ago but it was too absorbing.

Great story!
Unfortunately whereas when I read a paper book I can shove a bookmark in where I finished last night and pick it back up again, no such thing is possible with a thread this length.you guys should have 'rationed' your reading.
now you have to wait in agony with the rest of us...
No, I haven't lost interest, and yes, it will have closure. In fact, I wrote the end to this saga months ago. It's all the in-between stuff that sometimes takes awhile.![]()
I did start with a broad overall plan for the collection of stories, though that has, inevitably, changed over time. I'd say at this point that we are at least 3/4 of the way through, with the end in sight. Barring further inspiration, I have only a few more (shorter) installments planned after Scipio's story is done. When you write this story, do you make a broad plan first? And when you do, do you start writing ahead in certain sections of your story and come back to other parts like Scipio's afterwards?
Also, when you do certain updates, do you post them just after you have typed them up on another program (do you use another writing program like Word?) or do you post the update only if you know that you are done with the update AFTER that, just so you know that the updates will transition well?

I usually prefer to write a few sections ahead and gradually post them (and yes I usually work in Word, then copy and paste over here), though sometimes that doesn't always happen, as in the current case. I have to get back to writing the rest of Scipio's story soon.
So how long is this overall story? I'm guessing the 250-300 page range in Word.
Tough to say, I save each distinct story as a separate file; I haven't bothered opening them up to count pages.
