Thracia, for so long divided among tribes, her people content to farm the land and serve as mercenaries for our Greek and Macedonian neighbours to the south and west.

Until the time a new king would arrive, one who would unite Thracia and make her strong.

His eldest son would forge an empire the likes of which has not been seen since Alexander's great Empire fractured into warring kingdoms by his greedy generals.

That time, is now.

Thracia is preparing to wage a bloody war of conquest against her neighbours to the south! All brave warriors and chieftens are invited to join in the glory! All shall be richly rewarded!

General
Governor (Governors may also act as councilmen)
Councilman (Councilmen might not have charactors but they can be the governor of a settlement which does not have a cahractor governer)

We'll only have 4 charactors to start out with, so the reserve list will be made rather quickly.

As it turns out, we have 3 charactors.

And a spy. Probably a diplomat somewhere too. So Kan's on the waiting list.

Now, I'm just going to build up for the first few turns, but it'll be nice to know where to expand too.

We are allied to Dacia and Sycthia, I do not want to fight the scythians so unless they attack us I will be very nice to them. If they do attack, well, their capital is within 3 turns from my nearest city.

To the south-west we have Macedonia, and south of them we have the Greek Cities. In Anatolia (Turkey) there is Pontus which will be within reach in about 10 turns when I build a dock and ships.

EDIT: Ziles came of age, but he's cut out to be a governor, not a general. So if anyone wants to be one, go ahead.

EDIT: I will be updating post #3 alot, with every update, if not occaisionaly while playing the game.

I have never heard of this so I shall apply as a General but dont trust my abilities

I'll apply as a governor

I'll be a general. Aren't you playing as Thrace already? Which campaign map are you using? Europa 270 BC or the unified Rome one?

I'll apply as an Admiral, unless I am urgently needed elsewhere.

Could you give me a link to the Darth Mod site? I've been trying to find Rome: Total War mods, but I have had no luck so far.

I wish to be a general to further the Thracian glory

With the Dacians and Scythians being allies, the olny direction to expand was south into Macedonia. The macedonian capital at Pella was the first to fall. The defenders put up a brave defense but were overwhelmed and soon became desperate enough to charge tehir calvalry into a wall of pikes. Several times.

Our spy had managed to open and damage the gates beforehand, and Nodikus broke up his army into 3 seperate forces, leading the attack on the South Gate himself.

The defenders were not match for our fierce troops.
