Pro Gloria Thracia - A R:TW DarthMod AAR

Southwards we must go. This is not a war for war. This is a war for profit.

257 BCE

The council decided to take out the Macedonian cities to the south before concentrating on the north. Nodikus layed siege to the city of Larissa in the spring of 257, and by autum the city was his after a surprise night attack.

The defenders were sleepy and unable to put up a fight.

256 BCE

The plague has struck Macedonia, maybe it was not such a good idea to invade them after all.

255 BCE

The plague claims it's first Thracian victems at Pella, small army being built there is quarentined after Governor Pugwash des of the plague.

In the south Nodikus captures the town of Thermon, beleiving the south to be secured. Bryzas comes of age and takes over governership of Larissa and is nearly killed while setting up a watch tower by a treacherous greek army. A decleration of war from the Greek Cities, who have finally honoured tehir alliance with Macedon, arrives soon after.

In northern Thrace on the coast of the Black Sea all is quiet, until King Scampi II is attacked at his hunting villa by Bastarne mercenaries carrying Macedonian coins.

It takes several charges and firece fighting before the mercenaries are defeated and the survivor sold into slavery, but at the loss of 36 bodyguards.

Note: Captain2 is in Nodikus's army. ANd will only leave it upon death.

Now we again we have several chocies. And it is MULTIPLE CHOICE.

1. Nodikus's army marches south to take Corinth (choke point) and Athens.

2. After 1. is completed Nodikus takes the two Macedonian islands (one is right across from Athens/Larissa).

3. Army in Pella (once plague is gone) moves out to attack the cities in the north.

4. Army in Pella remains to guard the north.

I'd say 1,2 and 3 if we can manage it.

1!

and you mean Nodikus is in Captain's army right? :p

Sorry, but Nodikus has the staff and experiance which give him the higher command level.

But if he dies it's your army. Although I am more likely to use you in battle than he is, due to the large amount of staff I assigned him.

254 BCE

THe plague spreads further south to Larissa, the young Governor Bryzas dies.

Bylazora (Macedonian city in the north, next to southern Dacia) is captured by three Thracian Hoplite units.

253 BCE

Nodikus finally catches up to a small Greek Army and destroyes it with few casaulties, and only one greek survivor. The enemy army was in disarray from the plague they alcked the usualy discipline shown by greek armies.

No survivors!

The Dacians, encouraged by Scythia lay siege to Bylazora, breaknig our allince, with the Scythians cancelling theirs too but not going to war, yet.

The Corinthian garrison was out on manouvers and the city fell in an hour as the governor desperate tried to defend it.

252 BCE

The Dacian calvalry hurled it'self against our shield walls in the streets of Bylazora, and one warband managed to attack twoof our hoplite units before they could get into a choke point. They fought bravely, to the death, but it was to no avail.

Blasted Dacians! :trouble:

I'll get them back. Retake the city they took from me, take their next one and foritfy it, it's sort of a choke point. Then maybe later burn their capital.

Methinks Ill join here as General :)
