The council decided to take out the Macedonian cities to the south before concentrating on the north. Nodikus layed siege to the city of Larissa in the spring of 257, and by autum the city was his after a surprise night attack.
The defenders were sleepy and unable to put up a fight.
256 BCE
The plague has struck Macedonia, maybe it was not such a good idea to invade them after all.
255 BCE
The plague claims it's first Thracian victems at Pella, small army being built there is quarentined after Governor Pugwash des of the plague.
In the south Nodikus captures the town of Thermon, beleiving the south to be secured. Bryzas comes of age and takes over governership of Larissa and is nearly killed while setting up a watch tower by a treacherous greek army. A decleration of war from the Greek Cities, who have finally honoured tehir alliance with Macedon, arrives soon after.
In northern Thrace on the coast of the Black Sea all is quiet, until King Scampi II is attacked at his hunting villa by Bastarne mercenaries carrying Macedonian coins.
It takes several charges and firece fighting before the mercenaries are defeated and the survivor sold into slavery, but at the loss of 36 bodyguards.

Now we again we have several chocies. And it is MULTIPLE CHOICE.
1. Nodikus's army marches south to take Corinth (choke point) and Athens.
2. After 1. is completed Nodikus takes the two Macedonian islands (one is right across from Athens/Larissa).
3. Army in Pella (once plague is gone) moves out to attack the cities in the north.
4. Army in Pella remains to guard the north.
