Problem with my "new" Radeon 9200SE (invisible globe)

WEll on my old GF2MX 400 civ 4 was:
Running at 10 FPS
Had no hammers nor coins on map when selecting a settler (just bread)
No waves
No special effects on leaders

But now on my "new" redeon all problems are gone, but a new arises

The globe in the main menu disappears (it blinks for a few seconds), however map in game works just fine (asides from cities, which are invisible also)
Also items (like settler bag or spear) also blink same as the globe

DEMO civ vresion

Catalyst 03.8 (is it recommended to update? should i use catalyst uninstaller? it's an old card after all...)

Catalyst is now up to 6.12. It's always a good idea to upgrade and yes, it's probably wise to uninstall first. But don't use the ATI drivers, look for the Omega versions. They're better. You can just do a Google search and you'll find them.

I didn't uninstall old drivers, installed original ATI ones.
Now the game runs fine
But i get an error when trying to get to the control center
