Procylon's Call to Power Project

I am using a different map generator called "tectonics" which makes mountain ranges instead of isolated mountains like the generators that come with the game.

I also tried V8 and it also didn't spawn any resources at all.

Other mods have have no issues spawning resources in that map generator though.

Try continents, any non-standard map seems to be bugged on resources generation. That's the fix, until a update is released.

This mod doesn't play nice with other mods you have installed, even if they are inactive. For best results move your installed mods somewhere else. Doubly so if you have v8 and v9 of this mod installed at the same time.

After the release of the new patch notes, i am really hopefully, that they will fix the scroll bug.
Its a shame that the game crashes anytime and anyway....also sometimes in strategic view.
BTW- Sometimes its usefully to read older pages of this site, to get the help (news) for some known problems.

Nope, I just updated it to the latest drivers, still the same. Works well without the mods. Is there a way to get v9 in the game? Or just use v8.

Ok, normally v9 should work with the tips given to you. I am wondering what could cause this strange bug. You installed v9 without dcl fix?, and you does not have installled v8? Then the other question, do you use other mods? (or mods that are included in your modfolder).

That's your answer Nitro, your Map generator doesn't recognise the CTP Mods resource layout, just try other default map layouts as suggested

Hi Daniella, how are you today. Good to get this thread going again. My thoughts on this was if your vanilla game worked then it's a real possibility that the version of the mod (V9) that you downloaded is currupt and that you might re-dowload the file and delete both the mod folder containing the first install of v9 and the first file that was downloaded and start afresh with the new download.
I find that using the install mods feature from Civ 5 mods, while the game is running, works better for me than manually installing it myself.

Hey Daniella did you read my last reply 'quoted above' it might help you. Your drivers are not the issue and rolling back will not help you in this case.

Hey, when I try to run this mod, my game crashes before it even loads. I get some sort of a "memory written" error. Any ideas? It says "The instruction at "0Xoo44f452" referenced memory at "0x00145000". The memory could not be "written". It happens only when I try to load this mod. Furthermore, it seems to happen when I try to make a custom game. When I skip any customization, it seems to run just fine. What gives?

is there a known issue with the techtree in v8, i see some techs as TXT_KEY_... with no content
(and i don't want to read all 96 pages before)
so v9 will just work if all other mods are deleted from the MODS directory? thats worse!
at the moment it causes a runtime library error cause of some Array issues.
will it work with customized maps?

missing tech texts are in first post under Known Issues ;)

To my knowledge this mod is still active. Decimatus is not here everyday because he is doing important real life duties, but he has mentioned here and on the 2k forums that he is not done with this mod. Things are moving slowly because we are all waiting patiently for him to return. Just give it (him) some time; once he gets back this will be the fastest moving thread in the site.

**EDIT**
Hey D when you get back there are a few things I found in the code relating to resources that I mentioned way back on post 1796 in that long game report:

In CIV5Improvements.xml, under <Improvement_ResourceType_Yields>, add an entry for:

iron
<Row>
<ImprovementType>IMPROVEMENT_MINE</ImprovementType>
<ResourceType>RESOURCE_IRON</ResourceType>
<YieldType>YIELD_PRODUCTION</YieldType>
<Yield>15</Yield>
</Row>

Poppy
<Row>
<ImprovementType>IMPROVEMENT_FARM</ImprovementType>
<ResourceType>RESOURCE_POPPY</ResourceType>
<YieldType>YIELD_FOOD</YieldType>
<Yield>15</Yield>
</Row>

and the entry for soybeans needs an "s" at the end of SOYBEAN

Hey guys, sorry for the long unexplained absence.

Honestly, I can't even say it was because I was completely busy, though that is how it started. I have hit this wall of complete disinterest in Civ 5 and have been taking a break recently. I have even tried to guilt myself back into mod mode to tie up some loose ends for you guys, but even that hasn't been able to get me going.

So I am sorry to say, I think it is time that I officially enter hibernate mode for Civ 5. Given DLL access or perhaps significant nexus fixes I could see myself becoming interested again, but I don't know if that itch will hit me before then. And hopefully that does happen, because I do want to see this completed at some point..

I am actually kind of surprised that the DLL hasn't come out by this point, and that is part of my loss of motivation. Mostly though, I think having real life jerk me away for awhile has taken me out of gear and set me on the hunt again for something interesting.

The worst part of it for me is that you guys have been so amazingly supportive, especially those of you who tested and provided content for the mod. But, I hope you guys take a break too and come back when we get more to play with in the future. :)

I will probably check for patches and news every so often to see if anything interesting is happening. I will probably try to fix any mod-breaking patches if anyone is still playing the mod whenever that happens.

Anyway, thanks again for all your help and I will see you around. :)

Hey D

I'm sorry to hear that. This was one of the best mods out there. The best in my own opinion.

I'm sure everyone here is very thankful of all the hard work you put into this. I know I am.

Is there any chance you'd be interested in passing on your code to someone with both the interest and ability to keep this mod going? Sadly that wouldn't be me. Ability is lacking I'm afraid. I could keep up with your changes all the way up until you got the multi page tech tree going and everything else after that. LUA makes my head spin.

All that being said if someone out there is interested in keeping this mod moving forward and you'd be interested in passing it on that would be great.

But then again this mod was your brain child and I can understand if you wouldn't be willing to let it go.

So thanks again for the great mod and take care.

Good to hear back from you Dec, to be frank disinterest hits me in all games after overplaying too much but your mod had rekindled that interest in playing CIV 5 once again.

Sorry to say this, but I can't go back to vanilla after having a beautifull dream that I was playing the version I thought it should have been in the first place.:sad:

Thanks for you time and effort Dec.

P.S. Does anyone has a link for the last stable V8 Mod? I can't find it on the first post. Is this the one still on the in game CIV Mods downloads section

:( Sadly, but i have not played civ for a while ( just waiting for d: and further updates),
and now, i think i do not miss civ to. The CTD are so nerving, this is really the greatest s### ever. But i hope that their will be a time, when i can play from the beginning of mankind until the bitter end (even with ctp).:lol:
Anyway when this mod will end, the best civ mod ends:king:
26.4.1986 do not forget the past.:nuke:

Thanks for the update! I've been taking a break too, and I guess it's going to continue for a while longer now. :)

If you come back once the DLL is out then I'll be playing this mod again.
Thanks for the good times.
