Need Help. Added new version of 7z and have now lost the Icon Overlays for SVN. My green circle w/check mark and Red circle with ! point are gone. And I can not figure out on win 10 64 how to get them back. Perhaps I should delete 7z? I already have win rar. As I suspect 7z robbed one of the 17 System Icon Overlays that can be used by the SVN. Really hard to tell if I make a mistake now.

It might not be the 7zip. My icons go away and come back seemingly at random. Sometimes it is across the entire SVN, sometimes only on certain files & folders. Seems to be an instability in the SVN program.

I'm sure the worst you'd have to do would be to update Tortoise.

I have the latest Tortoise SVN version. I have done a Repair. Still no Icon Overlays. Between win 10 64 updates and installing the latest 7z the assignment of System Overlay Icons (of which there are only 17) has removed the Icon Overlay for the SVN which it normally uses. I have tried several different things and so far they have not re-appeared. Hopefully they will. In the interim they are not there and the visual aid for making Commits is gone. Just hope with 4 Pbem games going I don't screw up as well as for the C2C SVN if making a commit. Thought someone might have the info on how to restore the Overlays.

Yeah, this has happened to me before, i'll send a simple tutorial to fix it in reg edit. Windows is limited to 12-17 overlay icons, not really sure about that number. I'm not at my computer before monday so the pm will come then.

There are 17 Icon overlays per windows. Last night I removed my trial version of winrar. So I now only have 7z. This morning when I turned the computer on the Overlays for the SVN were back. Yeah!
