I recently played a harmony game, with the African Union on a Fungal Biome. One of the ongoing quests I didn't know about got triggered, called "the genius of Olivia Ross".

After an expedition on a designated spot (which gave me a "ross weed", alien artifact), a satellite, another expedition, I finally had the "olivia ross uber food bonus", that is +2 food on each and every farm

Needless to say, my cities grew at an amazing rate (9 food farms on mushroom bonus tiles !), although I had already built the mindflower so I didn't see what it would have looked like if I had enjoyed it for long.

The quest looks like it's tied to an affinity, since it gives harmony points upon completion. Other than that, are there any specific triggers ?

The only place where it's mentioned as far as I know is :
http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Module:Data/CivBE/RT/Quests

If you are curious about the quest details, or wanna know what a 9 food farm looks like, help yourself with the save game.

Think that quest and the E-Pod was involved in creating a 50 citizen capital in a pre-patch game.

Trigger seem so be:

1: Harmony aligned.
2: Trade route to a station.

I liked that quest. I don't usually read all the quest text, but I did for that one.

Yeah, it's exactly the kind of quest I hoped for when Civ:BE first mentioned quests. Not only does it really feel rooted in gameplay (with the expedition sites and "trails" you follow), it also really demonstrates the passing of time and generations. It's a really nice "slice of life" into the early-ish days of a colony.

Interesting, I'd never seen or heard of this quest before. Perhaps the fact I almost never focus on Harmony has helped keep it from showing up in my games. Hope I get to see it soon, it sounds amazing.

Yeah, there's another good quest on the Supremacy path that involves satellites and espionage that is pretty cool as well. Definitely loving the variety of quests, although I did have the hiccup of getting a quest regarding stowaways in my sponsors cyropods when I was playing as Al Filah which obviously wouldn't work. xD

Whilst I'm glad to see more quests showing up, I think the spawn rate needs to be increased. Yeah I know they often reward affinity and that already skyrockets up but they add a really nice touch to the gameplay.

You're talking about "Stephen vs. the World". I didn't find it quite as enthralling.
