Question about Fixing a Bug in an Old Version of VP

I am playing on version 4.16.2 of VP (I am reluctant to upgrade past this point because I do not like the new unit supply city penalty). There is a small but annoying bug that prevents workers from using the Route To method when building roads. The builders lose focus after completing each segment of road and ask for new orders. I do not know how or where this functionality is handled. Could anyone give me some pointers on how to solve this problem?

It's not solved on the most recent version either so no. It is not know how to solve this.
The reason it is not working I believe has to do with a crash it was causing (?)

Nothing to add beyond what hokath said, but just in case it helps, increasing the unit supply would be much easier than backporting a bugfix to an older version (pretty sure azum exposed most of the supply values in the database). You can always ask for help on Discord
