Questions about naming units..

When a unit is promoted you get the edit prompt to allow you to rename or number an individual unit (E.G.: scout-1). Is there another way to access this option? Hotkey or setup option? Also is there a way to repeat the damage reports when you are bombarding an enemy, the little red -1 or -5 seems to flick by pretty fast for me. That is especially true for end of turn messages. I would appreciate hints on helping with this problem.

You can only change name / number of your unit when it promotes.
Everytime it promotes you get to rename it by clicking the 'edit' button above the promotion pick thingy.
No, except from the messages (Like, While Defending,Your Scout took 1 damage from a Enemy Warrior) That you get even if you're not watching the fight.
The little red flashy icons DO NOT Re-appear
