The modmaker needs to have the ini file of their mod not load custom assets.

@mentok - I assume you have BUG installed for Single-Player and you are trying to play a different mod. If that's the case, open that other mod's INI file using Notepad and change NoCustomAssets from 0 to 1.

I don't know whether this is a issue with BUG specifically, but I was able to see that in my current game that Boudica was the AP resident without having met her in UN/AP resolution screen. I'm guessing that we ought not to be able to know this.

Can you please post a save? I think this is available in vanilla, but with a save I can open it without BUG and double-check.

Below is an example of what I'm talking about. If you go into the Resolution tab of the Victory Condition screen (i.e. F8), you can clearly see that it says that Boudica is the AP resident, even though I haven't met her yet (or for that matter any Buddhists). Like I mentionned before, I don't know whether this is a BUG issue.

AFAIK BUG hasn't changed that part, but if you open that save without BUG installed you'll know right away. :)

I've been using Better BUG AI with no problem but today I noticed I've lost the many details screens in domestic advisor (selection window is gone). I checked the BUG options for the advisor screens and DA in particular and everything is enabled. Any idea why the screens are unavailable?

Do you mean that the dropdown under the list of cities is missing or empty, or does it include only five where it once included about fifteen? If the latter, it sounds like BBAI is seeing a different UserSettings folder (or none) than it used to.

I think Fuyu updated the mod's name in Assets/Python/Contrib/CvModName--the modName variable. If you have a folder named "BUG Mod" in your My Games / BTS folder, change it to match what's in that modName variable.

Otherwise I'm sure Fuyu will chime in here.

Check the Troubleshooting page in my sig for instructions on enabling logging in BUG and BTS, open the Domestic Advisor again, and post Logs/PythonDbg.log.

I have bug 3.6 and want to upgrade to the most current. Is there anything special I need to do in terms of unistalling the previous version or can i just download the new on and it will overwrite anything new?

You should run the uninstaller application that was installed with BUG 3.6. It is in the BUG Mod 3.6 start menu if you had that option checked or you can find it in the mod's folder if not.

Is there a way to increase the font size of the event messages the user is displayed? My eyesight is not as good as it once was, and I would really like those messages to "jump out at me". I was also thinking along the lines of an installer option such as Blue Marble has for text if you think that might be something for a future release. Or is there a BUG option I might not have noticed for something like this?

I was going to suggest using BlueMarble, but you apparently already know about it. There is a program called CivScale (part of BM? I dunno) which does this on its own. It would make a good addition to BUG, I agree. I'll look into it.

I installed BUG...didn't know it would load on startup EVERY time!

How do I make it so it ONLY LOADS when I ask it to, or with a save that was created with it(like the HoF mod)?

Edit CivilizationIV.ini in the My Gamez / BTS folder and change the Mods line to

Code:
Mods = 0

BUG installs using 2 different methods. The first (recommended) way put BUG in the custom assets folder, this means BUG is loaded every time you play BtS. The second way is to have BUG install as a mod (the Multiplayer option). You want to install using the second option, as then BUG will only load when the BUG mod is loaded.
