Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions

When playing on max AI (40) do I have to choose (by selecting each tribe and European power) every AI manually or will they all be in game and no duplicates?

Are you in the right forum? ("tribe"? "European power"? Those are not Civ4 notions...).
Or are you talking about a mod?
Because, by default, the max number of AIs is 17, not 40.

In the default game, there would be no duplicates, but since you're apparently not talking of the default game, or even of the same game... :dunno:

What is life expectancy in demography
From the war academy:

Life Expectancy– Works on the same principle as the approval rate except it deals with health and sickness. The formula is health / health + sickness. At the beginning of the game the default is 30 years. You can see the total for health and sickness of each city in the F1 screen.

As it is referenced:

Approval Rate– Is the percentage of happy faces your cities generate divided by the total number of happy and unhappy faces produced. The formula is happy / happy + unhappy. At the beginning of the game when there are no happy or unhappy faces the game defaults to a rating is 50%. You can see the total of unhappy and happy faces for each city in the f1 screen.

Hello,

when I am building a shipyard, the tooltip says that it's giving +9 production net effect (!!!). That's crazy lot in my opinion.

I built it but the base production for my city stayed the same I think.

Does anyone know if this is known visual bug or something - why would it give +9 production? I tried to look for if something is buffing the shipyard but couldn't find anything. I am using Realism Invictus mod if that matters. Here is the screenshot.

What it means is the production boost while building a ship is worth 9 production.

Is deity beatable in vanilla cause the ai start with 2 settlers and expand so rapidly and outdates you in technology

An Obelisk you build should give 2:culture: if it is 1000+ ingame years old. Stonehenge doesn't affect Obelisks you build before completing it as far as I know, including any Obelisks build before Stonehenge staying around after Stonehenge is obsolete, whereas Obelisks effectively build by Stonehenge going poof once the wonder itself is obsolete.
