I'm embarrassed to ask this newbie question, but I can't seem to find a direct answer to it after a thorough search of the forums.
This question pertains to BTS.
I've only used passive missions for spying in my short Civ career, never sent a spy out!
I understand passive mission rules and concepts thoroughly.....but....
Does sending a spy out on an active mission actually *DEDUCT* espionage points from your accumulated EP against that civ? Could I literally lose the ability to see demographics, see research, etc. if I spend a bunch of EP's on an active mission (until the EP's are regained)? If a mission does deduct EP's and the mission is a failure, is it free or does it still cost you?
Thanks for any insight.
