I have wondered how to do this many times, just never got round to askingThe problem is that I am not searching the seed number for the latest generated map. That would be easy.
I have started new games in the meanwhile and am searching the seed number for another save.
Well, I uploaded my save. Maybe some geniuses will help us nowI have wondered how to do this many times, just never got round to asking![]()
Yes, I heard that. But I failed to use Civassist II.Doesn't civassist II have the seed number for any save it loads? That's what I recall. I have less of an idea, I think, that it will work with your operating system though.
As did I. I got this on install:Yes, I heard that. But I failed to use Civassist II.
Is that a "lost in the move one"? All the links seem dead in the first post.Maybe try with MapStat instead?
Was refering to MapStat included in the crp-suite: https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/crpsuite-2-11-0.16266/Is that a "lost in the move one"? All the links seem dead in the first post.
yep, seem to be somewhat blind today. Thanks! Corrected in post.Of course, @Lanzelot is whom you meant to refer to LordofDread.
Are you sure that starting a scenario also changes it? The above circumstance means that I cannot test this myself, not for some time. You mean the "Play Last World" option (not the quick start option). Here indeed you can see the seed of the last world of an epic game you have started - but in my experiences only as long as you haven´t started a different epic game or a scenario.
You're welcome.yep, seem to be somewhat blind today. Thanks! Corrected in post.
Also tried civ3sat.exe but this one doesn't seem to work using console with commands, neither with administrator rights.
Yes, I heard that. But I failed to use Civassist II.
I renamed your savegame to gurke.
Edit: I made a quick test and the seed of the last epic game was still there after I had started a scenario and made a save file of it.Are you sure that starting a scenario also changes it?
If this works, you are my new best friendFinally got it, here is your seed

Seed: 1834388131. Note I renamed your savegame to gurke, because after the 15th attempt even copy paste was too much work xD. I used the updated version of civ3sat.exe from here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/civ3-show-and-tell.493582/page-10#post-15323986. Works with command console. Older version in the download section doesn't work.
Good thing is you now even have the world specifications to check manually. Only starting positions seems chosen differently? Maybe depends on amount of AI's...
Spreewald?I renamed your savegame to gurke
I thought so. I'm not sure about scenarios that don't come with a ready-made map and thus force the game to generate terrain, though.I made a quick test and the seed of the last epic game was still there after I had started a scenario and made a save file of it.
You're welcomeIf this works, you are my new best friendI really look forward to try. Thank you very much for the work.
