Turner . . . Isn't the Palace a small wonder? Much more importantly, how are the lady and little one?

No, it's an improvement. At least, it's listed as such in the editor.

Also, it appears at the top of the improvement list, instead of under it where the great/small wonders go.

Also, I just found out you can't cash rush the palace. I've never tried, so I was a bit surprised that you can't do it. You can with a leader, of course, but I had never tried to cash rush the palace before!

And the wife and baby are fine, just fine! Thanks for asking.

For practical purposes, the Palace should be regarded as a Small Wonder, 'cos you can't "clear-forest-and-get-10-shields" in a Palace build either! :)

the palace is considered small wonder by players but not by the book. this is because it can be built moe than once but it moves it instesd of adding one.

ok i may be a real moron.. but I cannot figure out how to make my units move as a group... like in a stack. just cant figure it out... any help?

so if i have like 5 tanks on top of each other, hit J and then i can move 1 and they will all go there? like a company? neat.. and I have C3C... wife got it for me.!! YAY!!

The problem with this is you may not need all 5 tanks to take the city.

well it was more of a theoretical example.. like 10 workers to make a railway from one side of the continent to the other.

There are also "Stack Move" buttons on the Map Screen in Conquests....so you can move a stack of ALL or Same-Type-Units using the Mouse! :)

Press 'J' . I'm pretty sure it doesn't work in Vanilla, though. Not sure if it comes with PTW or C3C.
Works fine in Mac version 1.29, which is vanilla. I think it was added after vanilla version 1.21

It works fine in Vanilla 1.29f for PC. I tried it for the first time last night.

I really suck at this game. I'm still learning, and I tried moving up from Chieftain to Warlord last night and I'm really struggling. It seems like the other Civs declare war much more often and with no provocation that I can see. I prefer being a peaceful builder. Can that be done at the higher levels?

Why, I hope you understand that in order to become a full-fledged member of this community, you have to beat Emperor without building a single military unit!

Just kidding of course. Welcome to CFC! :)

But there really is one player who accomplished this remarkable feat.

You can win as a peaceful builder (although I've never tried), what you can not do is be weak or pacifistic. You still need a powerful military to deter or repel attack, pulling ahead in other areas without the means to defend yourself seems to guarentee attack.

Really? I'd expect to be crushed long before diplomacy became sophisticated enough to survive without any defense. How did he/she keeps citizens content without military police? Heck, how did he scout? I won't even ask about barbs.

I tend to be lightly militarized until Military Tradition (cavalry), and I think this often leads to less developed civs attacking or trying to extort from me.

Well, I finally finished my game last night. I didn't WIN, but out of 4 civs, I was 2nd. :p I'd really thought I was going to be totally obliterated and I learned a whole lot. I'll just have to keep trying and continue reading on this board.

yes i see them and when i hit them and move the mouse to where i want it to be i get the arrow and a circle with a + on the end and the corresponding number of moves... i click there and only one moves.

is it really that hard or is there something i m missing...
