Quick question. After I capture an enemy city, lots of posters say it is best to starve the city down in population in order to repopulate with my own civ, and avoid flips. How do I starve the city?

You can do it by making the citizens taxmen, entartainers or sciencetists, police officer if you have C3C.

AND......you could build Workers or Settlers in the enemy city! :)

Settler's is'nt a good idea because when you found a city with it the city will have foregin nationals from the recently captured city.

Most probably this question has already been asked 1000 times... but since we are without "search"... :-\

I just downloaded a graphics mod for adding mood batches to the citizens.
How and where do I have to insert them? I am running C3C 1.15.
Any description or link to a related thread would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your help

Ok, found the answer:
Replace that file: drive:\...\...\Civilization III\Conquests\Art\SmallHeads\popheads.pcx with the file, I downloaded. Worked fine

Silver 2039,

Thank you for the answer. And thank you ever so much for the screen shot. I kept reading about this but I was going to the Foregn Advisor screen, thinking that this was where I needed to be. I clicked just about everything to no avail!

This site has a great attitude to quick answers for dumb questions.

Thanks again.

And you also need Military Tradition to build the Military Acadamy.

And you want to build it in a high shield city because armies cost 400 shields each.

IMO the optimal place to build it in the majority of games is in your capital, because then you always have a city that can do pre-builds.

I tend to build those wonders / small wonders / palace / armies in my second-best city (in regards to productivity). That way, with a little bit of luck at a given point of time I can have two cities going for wonders.
Since the capital under normal circumstances is the one to go for a 20K victory, I then can just switch productions so that the capital will finalize the wonder with the better cultural points, or it can finalize at least one of the both. The other one will try to finish the second wonder. If it doesn't succeed, ok, some shields wasted.... or, just switching to an army.

Yes, it will cost you a bit more to upgrade, as Ansar Warrior is a cheap Knight (60 shealds instead of 70).

I am the Babylonians playing C3C, I have a leader - i believe it is Hammurabi. How do I rush something?
