"Quick Moves" not quick at all?

Does anyone else perceive unit moves made with the Quick Moves option enabled to be much slower than in Warlords? In my experience, whereas the default unit move animations are like the recession of a prehistoric glacier, in BTS the "Quick Moves" versions are closer to the drip of molasses down one's face on a warm July afternoon.

What's your experience? Yes, no?
 
One effect that appears to be new is the "wind-up", where the unit circles around to its final direction of movement. I'd like to extend my sincerest congratulations and gratitude to the designer who invented it, the programmer who coded it, and the project manager who let it through.
 
There's also a slow fade-in/out of fog after the move is completed. I don't care for it; I want my quick moves to be, y'know, quick.
 
This may be nice - quick moves were always too quick for me (what's happening? who just died? where am I?)
 
I've noticed that too. It seems too slow now.
Once I had about 20 units selected to load them onto galleys. Only about 10 fit, but all units just circled around for like a minute some loaded and the rest had all their movement points taken.
