Quick Questions and Answers

Hey guys. So I haven't played Civ5 for a while. I played it for a couple of months or so after G+K came out (having bought G+K) and haven't really been able to play it much since then because of work and studying. I understand there's been a new patch since I last played it, so could someone please direct me to a thread talking about the new features and what's been changed? I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

Thinking of buying G&K. Is there an option to not play with religion?

I'ld like to buy the game just for the extra Civs and still play like I do now with Civ V.

What does "occupied citizen" mean in this game? (in terms of happiness penalty, and more specifically in terms of the forbidden palace"

Specifically:
- I know Puppets have their own -3 happiness modifier per city instead of the -5 an annexed city gets (until courthouse makes it -0). But, are puppets "occupied" for purposes of the game? Are cities with courthouses "occupied"?
- Also, what about the citizens' unhappiness? regular people are -1, annex people with a courthouse is -1, puppets are -?, annexed without a courthouse is -?... which of these people are "occupied"?

Thanks.

Annexed without a Courthouse is "occupied." Puppets are not. Occupied citizens (without Courthouse) are more unhappiness (-1.2 or -1.3). I like to annex and immediately purchase the Courthouse. Do NOT annex until the city's rebellion/revolt is over!

I just had a land tile stolen from me by one of the AI Civs. How do you do that?

If you are playing without the Gods & Kings expansion, they used a Great Artist to culture bomb you.

If you are playing with the Gods & Kings expansion, they used a Great General to citadel bomb you.

This is more of a steam problem, but is it possible to have two people playing the game through steam without one person getting a constant notification to sign in?

Nope. Because your account should in theory be yours only, and the other person would need a new copy of the game on THEIR account. What you could in theory do.. is go into Offline Mode (but I wuold recommend turning off your internet as well). Just know that if you guys ever plan to play together then there's no options.

I've tried offline mode and the notification still pops up. It's not a big problem, but it's not in the most convenient part of the screen.

I tried googling it but couldn't find the answer: What's the current version of Civ V?

I just got the game, and have been having trouble with Steam on my new computer, so I had to download on a different computer, copy it over, and play in Steam's offline mode (when I try to play in online mode, it says something about app already running and then directs me to a help article that doesn't exist). My version is showing 1.0.2.21. Is that the most up to date?

Nevermind, found my answer.

I've been looking through the CiV files for the big pictures that's used during the loading screen. Both the initial and the one at the start of a (new?) game. I was thinking they could be a potential new background on my PC. I couldn't find them. :( Where are they? Please help me find them.

I've been thinking of trying out the world editor. Couldn't find that one either. Please help me find it as well.

Thanks in advance. :)

Noob question because I've never wondered about it:

When annexing a city the notice say it will slow great person generation, what does that mean? Does it mean the cost increases globally by 100 just like when a new GP is generated? or does nothing happens?
