Quick Questions and Answers

I was building spaceship parts in one of my cities. It had spaceship factory. When I checked where does production come from there where lines:
50% production from spaceship factory
25% empire production for spaceship parts

Where does empire modifier 25% for space ship parts come from?

Golden age production bonus is 20% so it's not it.
Arsenal of democracy is 15% so it's not it
Aristocracy is 15% so it's not it.

What reformation beliefs you can use and not if you are not founder of that religion?
I noticed that I can use jesuit education and purchace science buildings in my cities.

But on one other game my cities had religion that had reformation belief to purchase anytype of Great person. However I had only option to purchase Great Prophets starting from industrial age.

just a quick noob question, can i download the patch for BNW from some website? I'm having a bit of an issue while trying to update ingame options as i think my one is a pirated copy.

Were there any major changes in any of the older Civs in the patch for Brand New World?

I remember I think sometimes around the summer, that a patch was gonna happen in the fall. Rumor was that they were changing older civs like Germany and Japan and what not.

What modifications have been done to the older Civs? I'm well aware of France, Arabia and Ottoman which were done a while ago.

I'm am surprised... that the forum search function did not help at all TO ME for this. I know we have had these threads but they just can not be found. Googling though helped:
http://forums.2kgames.com/showthread.php?272071-Civilization-V-Brave-New-World-Fall-Patch-Released!

Civ-Specific Balance

Germany: Added the Hanse unique building (Replaces Bank, includes Bank bonuses, and +5% Production per City-State Trade Route across your civilization, not just cities that have a Hanse).
Germany: Boosted camp conversion rate to 67%.
Japan: Give Japan an Ocean start bias
Japan: Japan: Samurai can build fishing boats.
Japan: Bushido has a new additional effect: +1 Culture from fishing boats and +2 Culture from atolls.
Japan: Zero no longer requires Oil
Via google I only found the beta fall patch thread on civfanatics. Most probably the first posting is up to date/has the released data - but more importantly civfanatics is readable while the 2kforums cause instant cancer when you look at them for more than 5 seconds, so there you go:

Sorry, this site has a zero-tolerance policy regarding piracy, so you can't get any help here.

of course. but unfortunately i live in a place where we don't get original or have paypal to pay up to firaxis/steam.trust me we would get the original verison if we could.

Are there any potential downsides to accepting embassies (mutual deal), like in case of open borders?

Also, a less serious question: is it possible to get Agent Bond while playing as England?:)

Embassies allow the other civ to spy in your capital. If my capital is surrounded by enough hills I generally refuse embassies unless I know they have seen my capital from over the one grassland or something. But otherwise none. If you reach Writing (If that's the tech) first, you can buy them for usually 25/30 gold.

There is James as a name for an English spy. I prefer getting Mycroft.

Hello.

I want to know how to change Dromon ship so that it won't upgrade to next ship.

Must I make stand-alone of the Dromon ship or can XML be edited? And if I've to make a stand-alone, how do I make one so that it has the desired feature or rather, lack thereof?

Thanks in advance.

If I sell out one of my own cities to AI, does it cause reduction of tech and CP costs in the BNW game?

It will not cause a reduction in your costs. The penalty is based on the greatest number of cities you have owned in that game. At least that is my understanding.

In other words, your cost will not go down, but you will not get the penalty when you settle or conquer your next city. I'm not certain whether cities you lose from conquering by another civ reduces your cost, but I suspect it doesn't. That means don't settle a city you are in danger of losing.

ItR scenario, level 6, Almohads, I chose the Honor policy after Tradition for additional culture from barbarians and.... there are no barbarians...

BNW changed something or ... ?

Hi, I just have basic Civ V. If I get BNW, do I get all prior expansions? What do I need to buy to get up to date? What is it ok to skip buying but still get a up to date game experience?
