Ok, thank you!
That means no unit transport for me![]()
There is no unit transport in Civ5, instead units will embark when moving into water tiles (after researching the Optics technology).

I didn't know you talked about modding. I suppose it should be possible to create a troop transport by modding.
It's because unit pathing is broken - there's no stacking, so if even one tile on the route of your worker gets blocked by another worker or settler then the route gets cancelled. My way to remedy that was ordering building routes to no longer than 3-4 tiles - less risk of other units interfering.2) Why do route builds get cancelled? Seems that I have a lot of open territory and want to connect two cities, but for some reason, the route gets cancelled. I meet with some success in building it a square at a time. What's up?
1.Civ5 has been made for so-called mainstream audience, so forget about immersive game mechanics from Civ4What 2 or three things should I know aboout Civ5 vs Civ4??
Anyways... another question: Anyone know if it's possible to use mods in a LAN game?
I don't know what is done about installing from discs, but you can certainly just download and install it on whichever machine.
11a) You can't. After discovering Optics, you can move your units into water, and they will become transports for themselves.
What about escorting them? I thought I saw some hint about that. I'd hate to lose a bunch of riflemen to a caravel in the middle of the ocean.

Ah yes, because I dare to criticize Civ5 then I'm a hater and my posts are invalid![]()
