Why won't npc's trade me corporation resources?

I can trade other resources just fine. I have a corporation and I am not running state property. I get the benefits of my corporations in my cities. For some reason I get the symbj reply if I try to acquire more resources. what gives?

Hi guys, I'm doing something dumb but I don't know what, please help.

I got 'solid state citizen' quest, then I move an explorer over the site, and constructing an expedition is NOT one of the unit options. Its frustrating being a noob.

Has your explorer run out of expedition charges? The number it has left will be displayed in the unit panel.

Constructing an expedition consumes one expedition charge, when your explorer runs out it needs to move inside one of your cities to recharge before it can construct more expeditions.

I suspect you are talking about some other game and have posted in this thread by mistake, since there are no corporations or corporation resources in Civilization Beyond Earth. ;)

OK, i am at Gemini difficulty, standart game speed, pangea type of map, playing with Slavic Federation, with 5 AI players.
Here is the problems.
I am kind of winning, at least from my wiev, i am the second player according to the points.
I am at -13 Health. I have 5 Cities and i am preparing to build 6th. I am trying to build every building that helps rising the health. But where did i make mistakes.
One more thing, I can reach 100 beakers at 170-180 turns. I guess it is kind of late. What should i do?

*Sorry for speelling an language issues.

- Ignore points, they don't mean much
- Health can mostly be increased by virtues if you're already using all health-Buildings that are available. Learn about Local vs Global Health (which is probably a topic too long for this thread that you should look up instead, as people have written whole monologues about that). -17 is okay-ish though, just be careful not to drop below -20 (which means that expanding now would be a mistake).
- Well, turn 170-180 is not that late. The most efficient way to increase your science output in BE are Academies. You should research that tech early and build as many as you can without going into negative Energy.

Haven't been following since shortly after scoutageddon (pioneers)

Is there any plan to patch this game before the expansion?

Thanks

Yes, they reaffirmed in multiple e3-interviews that there will be a patch with balance-changes and bugfixes before rising tide is released.

I got a contact victory with Africa on Soyuz difficulty with ease on pangea map. I am not sure but it was turn 240-250. The victory is good, but not that good. I go harmony, i didn't fight too much only neccesary. Now i want to try something diffirent, something more fun.
Maybe Domination. Do i have to stick with Brasil?
Which affinity is suitable for Domination.
Do u suggest diffirent playstyle?

And i have a project called; one post/thread everyday to keep this forum alive.
It may be question, suggestion, comment, screenshot.
Who is with me?:wavey:

It is a new day, and a new post.
I played with Brasil last night, easiest difficulty, tiny skirmish map for achievement. I go for purity.
It was fun actually, i own the AI.
The question is, there is no victory/end game video so far. I did domination, Contact and mind flower thing victories but no video, just a text. It is just annoying.
What do you think?

A few questions.

(1) What are the avenues to increase my number of available spies?
(2) Is there a quick-view to see if my cities have trade slots available?
(3) Has anyone found a graphic mod improvement for roads/magrails?

Thanks!

Where is the WHOLE game system anyway?

Looking at xml files, there IS support, everything's ready and set for great people, barbarians (in addition to aliens!), minor civs (in addition to thos 1tile outposts) and even belief (39 beliefs split into 3 categories - Old Earth/Normal/Dogmatic) system. EVERYTHING. Kinda wasted effort if it never gets in game. I really hope at least modders would use it, but since Firaxis is as slow as ever at fixing even the most pressing (UI bugging out) issues, I'm really losing all hope..

Civs are starting to look like EA's games..

1.) There are some building quests available and you can get 2 from virtues (1 from Knowledge and 1 from a synergy bonus).
2.) There's a button in the city overview (top-center, a bit to the left) - there's no faster way.
3.) Don't think there are any right now

Many of the files are copy-pastes from Civ5 that have unused elements. I'm pretty sure "Barbarians" were never worked on as a feature. Other than that it's not too uncommon to work on features and then scrap them later because they don't work as well with the other systems as expected. With that said, it seems like there was quite some chaos when creating the game.

Thanks, Ryika. That's helpful. I did pick a couple up through quests after I had posted.

Where is the explanation of how orbital units remain exactly where they were first placed ? Today's physics says the geostationary satellites must be placed above the equator: other orbits loop north and south and pass over continually-varying places on the planet's surface. The only way to keep a satellite over a non-equatorial spot is to provide an enormous amount of reaction mass and an equally enormous source of power to drive it: nothing in the game suggests that these are available.

As far as I know the explanation is rather simple and the same as to the question "Why do we not have vision on the whole planet from the very beginning?": Game mechanics trump realism.

Okay, I'm back for more! ;)

(1) I chose 2% :health: "for each agent at Headquarters". Unsure how this mechanic works. Is it for each agent I have or for each agent at Headquarters? If the latter, I cannot discover how to assign them to my Headquarters.

(2) Is there a feature to automate agents in the field, if one chose to do so?

Also, just going to throw in an item for the "wish list". The <return> key that closes UI windows should not also "end turn". The <return> key should require a second toggle to "end turn". I'll go look for a suggestions thread.

1.) It's every agent that is not in a city. I think there's a "send home" option or something like that to remove the city-assignment. Overall, the projects are not worth it though, stealing stuff is way stronger than these projects.

2.) No, they can't be automated.

Until BERT comes out, oceans are kind of pointless and annoying. Is there a way to start a game with a map that just has lakes, an inland sea, or no water at all (that would be quite bad from a realistic point of view, but any of those would be good)? I don't mind resorting to mods, if you have any suggestions. You'd think you wouldn't have to though, with the options available in Civ 4 and 5...
