Quick Questions / Quick Answers

It probably is enough. As far as I observed it, only the player with less boredom unhappiness of two players gets this modifier on the other one, with a straight percentage per point of boredom unhappiness. The multiplier seems to depend on global game variables (difficulty, map size...), it is the same for all players (again, as fas as I know). In my current game it's 3%, in yours it's 3.75%.

Thank you, I didnt know that.
In this game I am going to win with diplo within 7 turns. However, I need to pay more attention for this in other games. Especially, when the tourism leader is also leader of culture output because it means that he will be the one who has less boredom -> he will receive this (sometimes quite huge) Tourism Boredom Modifier.

Thanks again.

Is there a general conversion rate between gold, hammers and culture or are the thing I'm low in worth more?
Or is any of them worth more for tradition, progress or authority?
(comparing to civ 4 where hammers trumped most things and I feel thats not how to play vp)

I terms of exact value it varies, but in general 1 culture > 1 prod > 1 gold. Many make the argument that 1 prod ~= 2 gold.

That said, policies definitely impact this. For example, with a progress/industry play....1 gold is worth more than 1 hammer in my opinion.

I got an early market event, going -1 gold for +1 culture on markets when already struggling with eco in early game felt wrong, I took the +1 gold.

Is food good for the same reason as "civ 5 BNW" ?
Only a few rare buildings seems to give "per pop" yields, I am currently playing as Assyria and the Royal Library seems not to have been hit with a nerf hammer.
I got a triple (plains) wheat capital with sun god pantheon, size 14 at 475 ad going authority.

Or is the growth for the extra yields from policys and religion that I'm after?

In VP....specialists are really good, but also very costly on food. They actually cost more food than a normal person, and that amount scales up with every era.

So food is very important to keep specialists while maintaining a decent growth rate, and late game you need big food in order to work a lot of your specialist slots.

The per pop bonuses are there, but honestly the specialist handling is what makes food very important.

I guess this means as long as I have decent food overlap is fine, sure policy and tech cost go up but more land and population is more power, right?

Remove more land from that sentence, and yes, more food and more population is more power. You don't really need much land, only a bunch of good tiles.

Many people ask the optimal distance between cities. My answer: have your city be able to work on 6-8 good tiles, and you are good to go.

Has the formula for capitulation changed recently? I remember it used to be that an enemy would capitulate to you at 85 warscore, but in recent versions it seems to require a full 100.

AI seems to often give themselves up voluntarily as vassals to other AI. Is it ever possible to happen to human player? I mean, is it possible AI would opt out to propose a vassalage to a player?

I remember vaguely there being an option to turn off the world congress altogether, and not have to deal with it.
I can’t find it or a working mod to do such a thing.. has anyone else figured out a way or know?

Isn't it an option in the Really Advanced Setup mod?

AI may accept your demand of vassalage if you're powerful enough, at least that's how it works in King difficulty.

Blue Ghost, I don't know if it's changed, but in my penultimate game I got a vassal with a score of IIRC 86, but I had to wait a few turns, I think for the first 5 or so turns with a score of 85 and 86 Rome didn't want to capitulate.

Right, but can they offer a vassalage voluntarily? It seems they do so to other AIs quite often.
I think that similarly to war brokering, they only initiate "one way":
+ They may try to buy your voluntary vassalage (though I've never seen it), like they try to buy your declaration of war.
+ They will never suggest their voluntary vassalage, like they never suggest selling their declaration of war, but they can accept if you suggest it.

Question:
- Can I save/load during a modded game without affecting the current game I'm playing? I heard that doing so could potentially corrupt the ongoing modded game, from Gazebo, but this was way back from 2016.

Yes you should be able to.

Some obvious restrictions :
+ Make sure to not load a modded game without first enabling the mods (and from the good version of the mod).
+ Make sure to not load a unmodded game with mods enabled.

Some additional advices :
+ Quit, delete the cache folder, and restart the game each time you change between modded and unmodded.
+ If you play with EUI, the EUI will also be active for unmodded game. If you want to disable it, you have to cut/paste the "ui_bc1" folder from the DLC folder somewhere else, and put it back later.

In my last two games I cant do this. In last game when I see that two top AI already get voluntary vassals(with different Master-Vassal religions!) and my near Austria AI(one religion on both) don't want to accept Vassalage(checked 3 times during 10 turns) - I declare war on it, capture 4 cities(from 8) and they agree to capitulate with warscore -94. And I get diplo penalty on warmongering from (-12(Japan) to -200(Korea)).
I am pretty sure that in that game when I tried to make a peaceful vassal I have no negative diplo modifiers(except territorial disputes and maybe CS relation) and have much more strong military.
Maybe I need a "fighting against a common foe" modifier to do that. In November I was able to make a peaceful Vassals sometimes.

And I don't understand what the point for AI with different religions(both are founders) to become vassals - it's annoying to become a vassal and spend all faith on inquisitors.
