Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Has there been a recent change to trade routes? I can't seem to have more than 1 trade route (from diff cities) to the same destination city. I remember being able to do that before. Am I just misremembering?

Thanks!
Yes, relatively recent change. Promotes spreading around your trade routes.

why is fresh water so good? and what luxuries would you say are the best? also didnt forested hills get nerfed?

Why fresh water is so good is because of bath. Especially with tradition, the culture yield is even higher.
I always try to settle next to fresh water just for bath.
Forested hill on 1st city is good, cause you immediately get 15 hammer which can shave off 5 or 6 turns building your first monument/shrine.

For me, the best resource to start is culture resource. Incense is the best. Jungle/forest plantation like dye, cocoa, sugar also not so bad.

If you're next to fresh water, the only reason to settle on a hill is defense (and therefore crime reduction).

Doesn't "splash damage" affect all units adjecent to the targeted unit? Like in this screenshot, I hit the crossbowmen with my catapult, but the knight is unaffected.

Is it possible, (as in the mini map is), to configure the dimensions of the "next turn" button?

I add <BassHurry> and <HurryMultiplier> to a unit in a mod. It works well in vanilla CIV5 BNW. However, "Hurry Production" button does not appear in Vox Populi. How may I solve it?

So they cannot sleep but they can Fortify?

My experience with it so far has been as follows. Both units will sleep but not indefinitely. Sleep basically functions as alert for bombers and missiles. Example: My neighbor who I have vassalized is constantly getting pestered by barbarians. I have tanks that are set to sleep or alert which do not require action each turn in there presence. The bombers and missiles however always awake and always require action each turn. And let’s say you are at war with a distant civ. Bombers back home will constantly stay awake regardless if you put them to sleep or not. And let’s say you have a submarine or cruiser stationed near an enemy (carrying missiles) but you don’t intended to use them, they will wake and require action every single turn and there only function is SLEEP UNTIL GIVEN FURTHER ORDERS. This can become very tidious and annoying especially if you have large amounts of missiles and bombers in the late game.

What conditions do I need to meet in order to make a city tradeable? Is there a time limit from capture to having the option to give it back? Does it matter if it's a puppet or has been annexed? If annexed do I need a courthouse? It's at full health and a puppet and I don't want it. The option to trade him the city isn't available and I'd rather give it back than have him declare on me again after peace and take this awful city and further delay my attempts at peace.

I've had the ai ask for a city back in previous games but never paid enough attention to the circumstances surrounding it, generally refusing outright.

Edit: I was able to trade it on the turn I finished philosophy unlocking courthouse and pushing me into medieval, I stopped checking periodically but I'm just going to assume that either the era or the tech was responsible unless someone takes the time to tell me what exactly triggers it. I'm leaning towards era since that also triggers vassalage but I'd love to be proven wrong.
