Quick Questions / Quick Answers

@Gazebo Hate to bother you but I'm really confused about the numbers in one of my games. More details in the spoiler below.

Spoiler :

First, I went for the Celtic Pantheon that gives +1 :c5culture: Culture for every 10 :c5gold: Gold per turn. Secondly, my enhancer is Mendicancy which gives my city +2 :c5culture: Culture. What number does the Celtic Pantheon use to determine how much :c5culture: Culture you get in the city? I see my :c5gold: Gold as 96.8 which in theory gives me +9 :c5culture: Culture. Therefore, I expect to see 11 :c5culture: from Religion as opposed to 8 :c5culture: from Religion. I'm in a Golden Age and that gives me an extra 8 :c5gold: Gold from my tiles. Even then, I should still get 10 :c5culture: from Religion. I have Silk monopoly which gives me 10% modifier and, assuming this is gone along with my extra :c5gold: Gold from the GA, I expect around 80 :c5gold: Gold. Let's say it rounds down, I still should get 9 :c5culture: from Religion.

Is there something I'm mistaken? Thank you!

I don't know if it's a bug but sometimes I have one city that doesn't demand any resources for the whole game. Is it intended?

Any way to change settlers so that they no longer stop growth during production?

The Huns Eki says that it removes all features on a tile, but what exactly is a “feature” in this context?

I know it removes forests/jungle but what else? If I build it on a tile with an undiscovered resource will it remove that too?

Nope, but those same resources will also not be connected by the eki.

By the way, does anyone have a comprehensive overview on how to handle great works and swapping?

I believe Flood Plains are also features and I assume they would be removed.

When spies steal research do they take it from the target civ pool of science or just get it from nowhere? Seems it's the second, but I think first choice would be better

They take it from the civ's pool, as is the case with stealing Gold from the treasury (only for Advanced Actions, though, stealing a Technology does not deprive the target of anything).

Does Future Tech cause military supply to decrease? (I know that in most cases, by the time you're researching Future Tech the game's essentially over, but sometimes you just want to roleplay an eternal war at the end of time.)

Is there a modmod that lets you set build orders?

What's the calculation for growth/decay of war weariness?

If you mean change the order of items in the production queue then just drag them with your mouse; you can also add new items to the top of the list by pressing Ctrl while you add the item.

Broadly speaking taking damage and doing damage (to both units and Cities) will increase your (and the other guy's) War Weariness, but doing damage less so (I think it was half or maybe some lower value), and War Weariness will increase with time spent at war, as well, but maybe someone else has a more detailed answer. Making peace (even if there are more wars going on) and I think also declaring war will (temporarily, in the latter case) decrease War Weariness and, lastly, certain Policies will decrease it.

No.

So what happens to tiles claims by a city outside the 3 tile workable area? Do tiles even provide yields if they aren’t being worked?

I like stealing land with Citadels but if I can’t actually work the tiles is their any point in stealing tiles too far away other than connecting a resource?

Nope, but the border expansion itself might.

Might be useful when preparing for military engagement or denying someone else a spot to settle on; those are two reasons why I've done it before, aside from connecting a resource.

Does the connecting a resource outside the workable area provide all relevant bonuses? Like if I connect marble outside the 3 tile radius do I still get the bonus to wonder construction?

Also is their any way to increase the workable tile radius (like a mod?)

I think so (pretty sure).

Yes, but those tend to cause major problems, especially when using them to extend the radius.

The Ctrl thing is useful to know, but I was wondering if there was a mod that let you predefine a list that you'd want to build in every city. Again, not for serious play per se, but for gimmicky playthroughs where you end up with reasons to settle mid-late game.
