Quick Questions / Quick Answers

I know for certain that you never benefit from Celtic Pantheons if you aren't the Celts. That's why having a Celtic neighbor can be annoying early game since you don't benefit from their Pantheon if you get their religion. To be fair, their Pantheons are quite strong since it is part of their UA so it's broken if you do benefit from it.

That feature is not as annoying as Pictish warriors. I had to restart 2 times :)

I'm in the Classical Era, I have over 2k Faith, none of my cities have been converted by foreign religion, and I still can't get a Great Prophet. Possible Great Prophets: None. Any reason for this?

If all of the religions have been founded, than you cannot get Great Prophets.

By Classical Era? Plus, I'm playing with only 4 other civs, so there's no way.

EDIT: Actually you may be right. Religions that can still be founded: 0. I had no idea they are equal with the number of civs.
I hate religion, wish there was a way to turn it completely off.

Pretty sure you can turn off religion with the Really Advanced Setup modmod.

When I capture Celtic Holy City and make their religion my official religion, do I get benefit from their pantheon?

Similarly when I capture Byzantine Holy City, do I get benefit from extra belief adopting that religion?

"Has a unique set of Pantheon beliefs that no one else can benefit from"

No, they are not equal to number of AI civs, they scale with the size of the world regardless of number of civs. As @Recursive said, you can turn religion off in the Really Advanced Setup mod.

I play with number of modmods - 4UC, Unique SS, Events&Decisions, Wonders for VP, Ancient Buildings Pack, Civic&Reform, EE, Industrial Buildings, Medieval & Renaissance Buildings, National Wonders Collection, Few More Buildings, Strategic Buildings, VP Bare Necessities, World Congress Reformation.
They do add to much quicker research, so (I play Epic speed) in TechCostChanges I set ResearchPercent to 225 (instead 150), in Classical 275, Medieval 350, R 450, EE 575, Industrial 750.
Everything seems OK, AI are able to keep up and eras to years also good.
Playing large map Planet Simulator with scarce resources.
When Egypt started to go over in science, I bought GS and expended him for research - I got immediate tech, then after choosing next tech in research small window at left upper corner I saw 350 000 research points out of 70 000 cost and somehow 48 turns to complete. Next turn all my 350 000 research points where gone, and I have 16 turns to complete research, but Egypt has no issues with buying GS (probably he has less cities 13 to my 25 ,and less Academies, and being AI doesn't get this big numbers). Using IGE just looked - he has 1135 science to my 5300 and still easy overtakes me, because my GS don't work. He already in Modern Era with 60 techs to my 56.
Think there is problem with big numbers - is 350 000 something that Civ 5 can't handle? Or what may I do?

I get gold income 150+ per turn, but my empire is Unhappy because of poverty. Every city has a market. How do I combat unhappiness from poverty?

Some resources give +2 faith from "resource tiles" from having a global monopoly on them. What tiles are these exactly? Are they all resources (bonus, strategic and lux), only lux, or only the specific resource triggering the monopoly? And does the resource tile have to be improved to get the faith?

Check the tooltips of buildings (such as aquaduct), they state that they reduce 1 unhappiness from Poverty, etc. You can also increase the income of the unhappy city by increasing their income (by buildings that produce gold, assigning gold tiles, merchant specialists) - when you hover over the unhappiness in the city view, you will see how much yields the city lacks to decrease the poverty. The trade routes also count.

Last thing - you will have some unhappiness either way. You cannot rid of it completely in the later game stages.

Incense and Tobacco. Both luxuries. There are no monopolies for bonus resources, and strategic resources have two levels of monopolies. And once you get the monopoly, the bonus does apply to unimproved tiles of the resource. But you would want to grab them quick anyway.

I think this wiki is behind on some stuff.

Only the specific luxury that you have the monopoly for. Tiles don't need to be improved to get the bonus (but you must have improved enough of them to get the monopoly).

Playing a super wide Spain with 30+ cities(Progress+Fealty+Industry+Order). Is staying at around 50+% happiness normal? Im hesitant to go for domination victory since puppeting and war exhaustion will put me below 50 happiness.

Depending on the difficulty level, you could stay around 50% happiness.

The policies that you chose are very good for scaling happiness. Nationalization also gives you a strong scaler.

Are there any min-max tips for managing happiness (My :c5happy:/:c5angry: values right now are 400+) and distress? I cant get much needs reduction in that area.
