quick question on puppet cities- does the -80% apply to culture or is there 0 culture allowed from puppet cities no matter what it produces culture wise?

I always thought the -80 applied to culture as well as everything else but I'm not seeing the -80 in my culture window- it just says 0 culture. But it is early game so I only like 3 or 4 culture in my puppet cities so if it rounds down it would be zero anyway but like I said I'm not seeing it in the -80 in the culture window like I do for science and money. So I'm thinking it is just 0-- can someone confirm?

I'm playing on 3.11 and noticing some other small weird things

Definitely -80%, not 0. But as you suspected, culture always rounds down, so you need at least 5 culture to start gaining something. AFAIK culture and faith are the only two yields which are always rounded down.

Yup you are correct- I got 5 now and it shows the -80. Thank you
 
Hello, is there a way to manually disable War Weariness?
I'm trying to play a "permanent at war" game, but War Weariness makes every civ unhappy.

Actually yes I think. After next proposal, since bonuses are changed to -50%/+100%, then it would result in +50% to everyone (except against CSs).
This is considering that war weariness modifications are additive between themselves (as opposed to multiplicative).

However in seriousness this does seem like an oversight, if your always a war we should really have war weariness at that point
Yes, but there should be a way to toggle it "off". An easy way, not only feasible for file gurus....
I think, for those of us who do not really like the War Weariness System, there should be an easy way to toggle the whole system on or off, in advanced settings, like espionage or certain victory conditions. Change nothing else to begin with.
This way we'd rely on the players ability to make their own decisions. After all, it is NO real war, but a game, which should in any case provide fun.

Or, if some seek even harsher conditions, instead of a YES/NO toggle there could be a "fill-in box" implemented. Change nothing else to begin with.
While set up you insert a multiplier integer number, from 0 to lets say 3, preset is 1 or zero.
Muliply this factor with the current War Weariness formula generated numbers at the beginning of every turn.
I can't imagine such a simple operation will take relevant processing time or RAM.

The really advanced setup mod has a always war setting and it disables WW. Or at least it did when I did it a few patches ago, I doubt it has changed.
 
If automating workers, is having the option "automated workers replace tiles" on recommended? I've always had it off since playing vanilla Civ V though I can't remember why. Has it been improved in VP?
 
The description in the victory screen is a bit coonfusing for me.
Do capitals of vassals count towards conquered capitals, if the vassal is still in posession of his own capial?

Your own capitals + Your vassals' capitals + Your City-State allies' capitals + Your vassals' City-State allies' capitals
 
Im playing VP 3.7.8 in multiplayer in simultaneous mode. Now that I’ve started a war witt another human player, the game suddenly changed into sequential turn mode. Is that a new „feature“? And is there a way to turn this off or will this create desyncs?

feels like you must've played on Hybrid (peace simultaneous and then war-time sequential) rather than Simultaneous.
 
Hello, calling out to anyone who knows how to tweak stuff, I want to tweak France's UA such that the 50% boost to GWAM from city capture goes to Great Engineers, Scientists, and Merchants instead. Anyone knows how to do it? Just wanna try this out purely for fun.
 
Is there any way to steal City-State tiles except of using Great Generals if i do not want this city for myself?

What if occupy this city, reassign this tiles in favor of your neighbor city and then free/abandon/surrender this City-State? Will this tiles remain yours?

I'm playing Civ 5 VP 3.7.7 solo. I have 2 questions about Decolonization and city states.

In my current game as Napoleon, Pedro II wanted to enact Decolonization. It made sense as I was allied with the majority of city-states.

Picture 1 you can see me throwing my 39 Nay on the vote.
Picture 2 the next turn, my votes fail to appear, do you know why? (Not that my 39 Nay would have made a difference, but still it feels like rigged democracy).
Pictures 3 & 4 even stranger, everybody is back at 50 influence with the city-states exept... me, who is back at 130 points... So it appears that I'm allied with every city-state after all... I couldn't find the origin of this influence (wonder, policy, combination of some sort...). Does anybody know what's happening?

Considering the absence of your votes, it happened to me and I think that's a bug. If you have a save from the turn prior, please open an issue on Github (don't forget to mention other mods)
Considering second point... Where you building stadium at the same time ? Stadium gives +20 influence towards all CS, so 130 influence might well be 4 stadium build at the same time.
