Quick Questions / Quick Answers

I did a quick search but couldn't find anything about this: Evenually trade agreements are canceled when a war is declared. Why does the same not apply to trade routes? It is not even logical in real life. Can you imagine a Ukrainian truck continuing to go to Moscow knowing that it will be plundered anyway?

They do, but not instantly. They need some turns for the unit to return home.

What is the icon that looks like a gold coin with a check mark on the city screen?

Just tested in-game, it simply hide the 'buy tiles' interface. You can safely try it yourself.

Just trying to confirm - Does Inca terrain movement bonus with hills remove the rivers terrain penalty on that hill tile as well?

I pillaged a road on a hill tile next to an inca city ( the city was on plains river) and an Inca cuirassier went up through the city and crossed over the river on to the pillaged road hill tile- shot at my unit and then crossed back over the river and into the city? And I can't figure out how it did this, especially since it was moving from a city on plains tile over a river on to a hill tile and then back over the river again- unless the hill tile movement bonus for the Inca also eliminates the river terrain for the hill tile -

Inca bonus is different than scout bonus (and imo should be changed to mach scouts promotion, but this is for next session) : they ignore all movement cost when moving into hills or mountains. It is regardless of river, desert, forest etc.

They're specifically allowed that for being a UA (and it fits the description).

Hi: Is this mod possible to install on Linux? I'm using Ubuntu to play the compatible version of Civ5.

Is new random seed not working?

If not how do you trigger a new random seed (yes, I know this could be considered cheating by some)?

Can someone check my math and tell me what I'm missing for my happiness cacluation.

My empire size modification shows as +47%-

But I calculate-

I have 13 cities ( 1 capital and 1 puppet excluded) so 11 * .05% = 55%
I have 364 citizens ( less 19 from puppet) 345 /8 = 43% ( 1% per 8 citizens)

Total postive modifier for empire size is 55%+43% = 98%

Reduced by 20% for walls, castle, bastion fort, Arsenal
Reduced by 10% for chichen itza

I calculate my empire size modificaiton should be 98%- 20% - 10% = 68%

Playing on immortal (#7) large map.

Also if anyone knows what should be included when adding food and prodcution to get it to tie out to what is on the screen for your distress needs it would be great appreciated if you can provide - I can tie all the others except for distress.

Thanks!

Is the value to golden age points you loose from cities shrinking, e.g. when building settlers, hard-coded or can you mod the values somewhere?

It's possible, but you must use Proton and the path of installation is different. I managed to do it once several versions ago, but then tried again this year and failed (reasons unknown), so your mileage may vary.

Is there a way to see what units a Militant City-State gives you if you're Friended/Allied with them?

Does anyone else play on quickspeed?

I think there are a few features that aren't scaled. Notably the 5 turn cooldown on purchases.
