Quick Questions / Quick Answers

First time playing for inca, so maybe stupid question.
Why I can send caravan only from non mountain city? If city on mountain it just demonstrates me empty list. Range is enough, city can has granary, checked all conditions 2 times.
From city on flat tile can send caravan to capital, from capital on mountain cant send. Both cities has caravansary and road to each other.
It so intended for Inca?

Has anyone ever completed the international space station on standard speed? I always launch before it. Even if I propose it the first time its available and make a significant investment into it, its just never complete in time. I'm better off spending some turns on research than building it.

I've completed the ISS in several of my recent games. While I could have won a Science Victory, I have been vying for a Domination Victory instead.

What do you all use to decide whether to annex, puppet or raze? I typically puppet unless:

1) it's a capital
2) it's my only city in the area and I know that I'll want to build units from there.
3) the city is low in population/infrastructure (in which case I typically raze it and just build a new one)

Also, do you later annex cities that you puppeted initially? Under what circumstances?

Consider Liberate first for CS or even an annexed civ that you'd like to use as a buffer.
Then puppet always until resistance is gone, except when you don't want to keep the city and have spare happiness. In this case I raze immediatly (well, after selling a building).
When pacified, I only directly control any city that I may need to purchase units, I leave even capitals puppeted if I don't need to rush buy anything. I know it's not the most efficient thing, but I hate to control too many cities.

In a game with 12 players, why do most of them become irrelevant in the medieval era and just stick in their place? For example there's always 4-6 civs who are stuck in a rut with their techs and GDP, and never get out of it. Why does this happen?

Probably losing gold. AI used to produce more units than it can handle, and when it cannot pay for it anymore, it doesn't gift units. When in negative GPT, science is freezed.

Does anyone has some advices for Greece to get a religion? I began a game yesterday and I wasn't able to get one. I always found my City and build a pantheon at the beginning to get some faith, I missed Stonehenge and chose Progress. I always try to found some cities to get some more faith. I can't remember the belief, it was related to every unique luxury I own, but I only made marble available, because for Wine I wasn't fast enough in science. I played YnAEMP with 22 Al's, standard speed on King.

1. Pick tradition if you must have a religion and don't plan on fighting soon.
2. Choose pantheon wisely. Some faith now is better than lots of things later if you don't get to found. The God of War is generally good for Alexander, provided you use your special unit.
3. If you want to try Festivals, pick as many luxuries you can get and trade them for the ones you don't control.
4. If you don't get to found, don't worry. Go and conquer any holy city and you're gold.

Ah thank you. I will try it out, but I guess I will continue my save game. Even if I translated a lot of text related to the holy city, am I right that I can get the religion of someone by conquering their holy city? If I am right, is this city created automatically, or where do I find it?

Usurping a religion is done by:
1. Conquering the Holy City of such religion (usually capital or the city next to it).
2. If you hadn't any other religion, congratulations, you are now considered the founder of that religion and benefit from all its bonuses. If you already had another religion and you get to conquer another holy city, then it gets a little more complicated (your religion will be the one that is more followed by your population)

The penalty for being an usurper is that you don't get to choose the beliefs. The advantage is that you don't need to compete for early faith, so you can focus on your army.

its normal for celts, when u found a religion u lost ur +3 faith from cities with pantheon, until it will not be converted to ur religion?

Yes, as soon as you found your religion you lose the +3 faith per city until you have your religion in a majority of your cities. And yes that's intentional.

Is it possible to add a no unit limit or supply cap? I have two mods that supposed to do just that adding some handicap lines etc
It seems like CBP is blocking those mods.

So I've got a weird question, but hopefully someone will know.

If I use the FT to Autoplay thru the Ancient Era, and jump in once cities have been established, will the Player 1 AI get the AI bonuses while its in control, and if so do they go away once I take control? I'd rather not be way behind, but getting the bonuses would be even worse. Also, if it turns out Player 5 is the more interesting challenge, would the AI bonuses go away even then?

the AI being in control of a Civ means that it gets the handicaps while you are observing and loses them when you 'step in' to the Civ.

How big is the penalty for planting embassy on city state? I play peacefully until I plant one embassy, and suddenly my 2 neighbors-Rusia &German (which are also near to that city state) suddenly declare war on me after a few turn.
