Quick Questions / Quick Answers

A little question about forests: Is there a reason why you cant plant those in the later stages of the game? If I didnt miss it, my only explanantion would be that it is somehow tricky/complicated or plain impossible to code. If that wouldnt be the case, I ask me why it is missing? If I remember correctly, it was possible in the older games of the series, but not in CiV vanilla, and yeah, it is again possible in CiVI.

Because atm it is sometimes a very tough question to remove the forest or not. But replanted forests should not give the same amount of original ones, at least no production bonus for rechopping them.

Because it's hard to tell the AI where to replant and plant. In Civ VI you get bonuses for replanting and get neighboring bonus because of that.

Hello Folks,

I get back on my original quick question...
I'm finishing my test game with the last Vox Populi inside, all options IN, and ... as I was feeling, I still miss many options and don't know why...
I have the new interface, easy to see and verify.
I don't have the tech exchange
I don't have the map exchange

I still had to spend 1 Iron on each frigate, while I'be been reading somewhere It was cancelled.
etc etc...
I guess many other things that I didn't figure or forgot or could not check...

So I don't get the point...

I have a valid ALL inclusive CIV V official with STEAM.
Install hte last August 2017 VOx populy with autoInstaller and accepted all options...
:-/

some of you ever had such similar problems???

To allow tech trading, you must check it in advanced options when setting up a new game, and I think you need to reach atomic era too, but I'm not sure about that.
To allow map trading you need a technology, can't remember which, and a friendly civ to trade with.
Frigates still cost 1 iron, I think.

It looks that you're faring well. I understand that this is a very complex game, so if there is something you don't get or think that is not working properly for you, try posting a screenshot.

what makes me feel strange about all this, is that when I check mods ingame, Community patch is still displaying "v88 BETA"
and before I updated my VoxPopuli it was already V88 BETA...
so... or the file are not well updated (but I deleted the mod folders and re-installed it), or the V88 BETA of CCP is still the same as 1 year ago, or I don't know...

What does this and modifiers like it (variations of "they dont like you") mean?

Theres a mod called "Reforestation" that does that.

What is main feature of Rome Empire?
When you conquer city you take all buldings without destroying them?

My policies tree is absolutely unmodified...

Automatic installer would not be compatible with a Frenchy CIV V STEAM game????
:shifty:
Yeah, it will be still showing the vanilla descriptions and the game will be messy. Switch your Civ5 to English on Steam and you will be good.

There is a thread somewhere here about making the non-English versions work, and translating VP to other languages, but I think switching to English is the safest way to go.

It weakens city defense. Easier to take.
REALLY weakens the city defense. It prevents the city from healing which is extremely huge if you want to take over a city with a much larger combat strength then you can handle.

waaa.... all this time and I've never realised that..............:cringe:

I didn't know about the healing stuff. That's how often I siege cities :p
It was part of the compromise when CBP incorporated walls and castles to have a much larger defensive strength boost, it was that blockaded cities could not heal and literally historically simulate long sieges to a great city.
