Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Why am I going from +11 happiness to -27 happiness off of discovering metallurgy? I've never had this issue in games before, I can upload the save if needed.

Before stealing metallurgy:

and two turns later, I'm back at +8. still weird, i guess
I don't think anyone truly ever said exactly where to make the change to fix happiness, so here it is:

C:\Users\(your user name)\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\(2) Community Balance Overhaul\Modular Elements\Happiness Mod\CityHappiness

FIND: 'BALANCE_HAPPINESS_TECH_BASE_MODIFIER', '1.0'

REPLACE: 'BALANCE_HAPPINESS_TECH_BASE_MODIFIER', '.1'

Sorry this might be a dumb question, but could someone please let me know all of the ways currently to do a reformation belief? I only know of the cathedral of basil

Build the relevant wonder in your holy city. It requires 20% of the world population to be your religion.

Ok thanks. For some reason I thought there may have been a way outside of either of those.
It seems like no matter what size I choose it’s always 20 percent, even on large maps full of ai (which is kinda difficult to accomplish) I’m usually about 5 percent short by turn 200.

How is City CS calculated through garrison? I've just witnessed my Tercio adding 10 CS and an enemy caravel adding 40 CS :crazyeye:

Edit: Totally slipped past me that the caravel owner had the Fealty finisher. How do you guys deal with defending puppets? Defensive buildings are deleted upon capture and puppets don't seem to care about them at all, even a barbarian camp could be a danger around puppets.

You don't let enemy units approach, if possible. Build plenty of forts, puppets don't need many yields anyway.

Still, the fact that Puppet seem to completely ignore defensive building seems a bit unreasonable

They don’t ignore them completely, I’ve seen them build them...but they certainly don’t prioritize them.

I’ve changed my mind on the subject. I used to be fine with it but now I do think puppets need to prioritize them more...especially walls. Without walls a city can fall to a stiff breeze

With how slow puppets can be at building things, and how long the building queue can be depending on your cap chances, it certainly looks like they care little about defending themselves!

Does Sacres Sites give +3 tourism to religious buildings that weren’t purchased with faith? For example, if a city gets a free church/mosque/synagogue from events or wonders do they get the Sacred Sites bonus?

Is science from hospitals based on total produced food or food that contributes to growth (not eaten by citizens and specialists)?

Silly question. Does puppets building maintenance cost the same as other cities?

AFAIK that's a yes, so puppets are likely to be an active drain on your economy now. I recall looking at these numbers the other day in an early civ, although I didn't add it all up to verify for certain.

"Food" is total Food (gross Food revenue).
"Growth" (as in +15% Growth) is Food produced less Food eaten (net Food income).

Thanks! It's a bit confusing that in city screen there is "Food" text next to a variable which actually represent growth. @Gazebo should it be changed?
Also, is it intended that building maintenance in puppet cities are not reduced, so they can drain economy?

Just a quick question before reported as a bug.

Playing with latest patch I picked Goddess of Beauty. After I've found a religion the bonus of +3 Great Artist and Great Engineer Points in your Capital is disappeared. I no longer get these point/turn.
Is it intentional?

Thanks.

Religion is majority? Is it present in the capital? If yes, then I think it is a bug.

Does it reappear when your religion become majoritary in your empire?
No -> It is a bug.
Yes -> It is not a bug. But it may not be intended.

Wait, Goddess of Beuty, or any pantheon, or any religion, requires majority in the empire instead of majority per city?
