Quick Questions / Quick Answers

The information is in the civilopedia and probably on the wonder. It's Firaxite's Trade Route Power, just like Civilized Jewelers' Trade Routes move twice as fast.

What does double speed mean from a game mechanics point of view? Do they finish faster?

Caravans have 2 movement speed. Cargo Ships have 4 movement speed as well.

Each Trade Route wants to complete 10 rounds of trade back and forth.

So definitely yes.

Wow, I literally never understood how trade routes work apparently. Good to know.

And here I assumed it was a fixed amount of turns regardless of tiles moved. Guess that explains why some go off and don't come back for a time while the internals finish fast.

It's not terribly intuitive, since you get the yields every turn, but the unit cares about how many times it touches the city tiles.

You're only supposed to have 3 acheologists at a time, right? Is it a bug that you can get 4 by building Louvre while you have 2 acheologists already trained?

As I recall this is intended behavior. Micromanaging archaeologists to make sure you don't have 2 or 3 out when the Louvre is completed wouldn't really be fun, and it's not like it's a terribly broken exploit to temporarily have more than 3 archaeologists.

What do you guys think about cathedrals? If you have a lot of farm clusters and pastures, is it a good pick compared to something like synagogues, mandirs or mosques?

Also, in what situations do you go double building?

In a game I just started with Planet Simulator there are two mountains next to Sri Pada that visually display as plains. They are correctly displayed as mountains in the strategic view. I'm only using InfoAddict and the trade route UI mod in addition to Vox Populi, so I doubt it's a mod conflict. Is this a known problem with Sri Pada or a rare thing? Any known fixes?

That's a problem with Sri Pada. And I don't think it is due to Vox Populi, but my memories of civ 5 before Vox Populi are quite far away, so I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks, I figured it was probably something from the base game. I remember the Rock of Gilbraltar was also buggy as hell years ago but it seems okay now. Guess I'll be modding out Sri Pada then, I can live without it lol.

Edit: All I have to do is change the NaturalWonderChanges.sql in the Terrain folder and delete the cache, right?

I have also noticed that on occasion mountains and non-mountains will mess up in the display on Communitas map. Tiles next to mountains sometimes also look like mountains but are actually some other terrain.

IIRC this happens on the east/west border of the map.

Is 300+ military near city state the maximum? I went authority for once and am not able to demand tribute after medival because of it. Seems like my only option is to triple my army or something and that would cost way to much. Seem rather hard to demand tribute, what can I do?

Kill city state units?

Thin the herd. You don't have to take the city state to burn all its tiles and kill all its units.
