Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Did you install Community patch, or VP ?
In VP culture trees are entirely revamped, you no longer get culture buildings.

Thanks for responding!!!

I did install VP.
The text in the culture tree for Tradition (I haven´t looked at the other parts) has the same text for each policy as the original non-VP game. But clearly the text I read isn´t what I get for each option.
I´ll try to look and see if I am getting any effects next time I play.

Easy way : tradition opener gives 2 pop on capital, check for that.
If you don't receive them, something is really off with your install.

Yeah, I think I´m getting all the new stuff, but I can´t read it...
Because my PC is set up with Windows using Spanish as the base language. So I will need to follow this long but helpful post to be able to overwrite the original text..

I am not sure that this is necessary or helpful, because my PC setup is german and everything works well. But my CiV game is installed in English, and that is necessary afaik.

For the settling cities too close to another civ ("near us"), how many tiles from their nearest city is it? Is it from the city tile itself or the boundary?

If I remember correctly it's 6 to 8 tiles (depending on the civ) from the city tile.

Hi!

Is it possible to use a modpack for multiplayer games, but use different mods for single player?

I play with my friends sometimes, so I created a modpack with a few essential mods. It is stable, works great for us.
But in the meantime, I would like to play a single player game too, with a lot more mods (all the created civs for example, which we excluded from the modpack for better stability).
When I start a game through the MODS menu, some mods, which isn't part of the modpack, work great (for example the Civics mod), but I cannot chose from the created nations, some unique components (4 UC mod) show up twice on the starting screen etc. So there are visible glitches.

Can anyone help me fix this, so I can play a more modded game in single, while use the created modpack in multi?

I had a question about purchasing Great People. Currently it looks like if you want to purchase a Great Person with Faith, you need to found or own a religion (please correct me if I am wrong). Does anyone know if there is a way to disable this so that any civ can purchase it? I am guessing that there is a lua event that is triggered when a religion is founded or conquered, and you could hook that event up to another trigger, but I'm not sure what the name of that even would be.

You have to remove (just cut/paste the folder into desktop) the modpack you are using for your MP games from your expansion folder before starting a game that you want to play in single player with mods within the mods menu.
Then move it back when you want a MP game again.

For stuff like treasure fleet is it 500p (not sure if that number is right?) per player at game start or alive currently?

I dunno, forest has more iron than hills.

Anyone knows if there is a mod that shows the amount of own villages passed through when choosing a TR?

I just realized the number of messages in this thread is over 9000

Nothing like that exists, but it's relatively easy to count.
