You can build as many cultural units as you want, because they aren't national units since some time
It still affect some units. The option in the gamestart menu still exists though. Or is that for units like Assassin, to limit that to 3?
Clear!It still affect some units.
F8 should show a window for which one tab has current game options, which you can edit in world builder if you made a mistake.Another quick question: I am pretty sure I choose the option to limit cultural units (so you get max 15 of them)
And in the advanced start menu it is tagged (and I am pretty sure I tagged it before I started the game), but in game it doesn't seem activated as I can get unlimited special cultural units. I play with the latest SVN. Started a week ago or so and updated the SVN in the meantime (with recalculations)
Is this option not working atm?
And what is the shortcut to check the pre game option while ingame? Just to make sure to see the option really is on (and I am not only thinking I tagged the box before I started)

That was the option I meant, Thanks!
You only need the tech. The unit should show up the next turn in the unit build list After Tribalism is researched.Good day,
First time poster, been playing for years. Currently running a playthrough as the Romans, discovered Tribalism, but am still unable to build a Tribe in Rome. In fact, it's not even on the unit list in the city. It IS in the pedia though.
Is there a requirement for the Tribe beyond the tech Tribalism that I may not be fulfilling? I thought I only needed the tech.

What version are you using?
Did you select some unit filter?Yes I thought maybe it was a next turn thing, so tried that. Didn't show up even after 9 turns and another tech finished. I was using SVN about 48h old, just before the last save breaking update. I have updated the SVN and restarted, in hopes it does not happen again. I still have the savegame. Would it help someone to see it, or something else?
Did you select some unit filter?
Check for One City Challenge maybe?Nah. Thought about that too. Triple checked to make sure I didn't mess up. The filters do mess with me sometimes though! It can be hard to see what's highlighted.
Yeah, especially if you start after savebreaking SVN, that happened recently - few options were removed.Check for One City Challenge maybe?
Logically could be the culprit.

That's what "save breaking" means.savegame to check now that I've updated. Strange fluke.
Are you sure you don't have one city challenge, one can check the game options on the red fist button close to the BUG option button under treasury.
I can train tribes in this game I just started...View attachment 575254
I know it's a rude and stupid question, but are you sure you UPDATED properly?updated
