Quick! Quick! Everyone to the other side of the boat!

And it's not going to likely stop Israel from killing thousands more innocent civilians in the near future. Why do those terrorists insist on hiding behind them?

What would you do after a much more powerful government than yours openly practiced apartheid against your people while killing thousands of innocent civilians over the course of decades through terrorist acts?

Wouldn't you be screaming WOLVERINES?
No. We Americans would do what we did two centuries ago. We shot at the British military, not civilians. And you didn't see us committing suicide bombings in Britain, either (actually, there was one terrorist attack by an American, during the Revolution, that I know of--one). The United States has already been exactly where Palestine is now. Our history proves we're far better than them.

Arab League to appeal for Gaza 'no-fly zone'
Note that the Arab League did not appeal for a no-missile zone after some dirtbag fired a guided missile at a school bus.

The Arab League can piss off. Bunch of hypocrites.

Oh, and by the way--everybody in this thread who demands a no-fly zone for Israel but not a no-missile zone for Hamas scum, is also a hypocrite. Me, I want both, but since the second one isn't happening, I refuse to support the first. I don't care if it was originally Palestinian land; when you fire a missile at a school bus (your intended target being the school bus) you forfeit your rights as a person.

Well, they shot rockets into Israel. They deserve this pounding they are receiving.

Just like my seven year old cousin deserves to be wailed upon by the next door neighbor for throwing a rock through his window?

I wonder when mouth-foamers like you will realize that the only way that bombing the Palestinians will create a solution is when every last one of them is dead.

Here's a thought: how about we take a look at Israel's treatment of these people over the last sixty years, and decide if maybe they have something worth protesting, something worth being angry about?

I don't get why firing an unguided rocket over a fence is terrorism deserving of an air raid, but that bombing civilians isn't.

Sigh.

Protesting against your own government is vastly different than firing missiles with hostile intent against a neighboring nation.

Rockets. Home made rockets.

He should publish his memoirs. Might be a fiction best seller.

Don't look now, but your bigotry is showing.

I really, honestly don't see what makes people get excited about the Arab/Israeli conflicts. One side is engaging in terrorism, and the other is flirting with genocide. And which side does which changes on a daily basis.

Our history proves we're far better than them.
Are you really trying to equate a power struggle between affluent colonists and affluent Brits over 200 years ago to ongoing apartheid and oppression in Israel?

The US government directly supports the ongoing atrocities in Israel and it always has, including their terrorist attacks against innocent civilians. It has also supported or even engaged in similar atrocities of its own numerous times, including being directly responsible for torturing and murdering completely innocent people. So no, your government is not "far better".

I'd be fine with the UN creating a no rocket zone for both sides. Violence won't solve this, it only gives the other side reason/ justification to retaliate. The Palestinians can't achieve anything through these acts of terrorism whether you think they're 100% justified or not. The result of almost every Palestinian or Arab attack has been retaliation from a superior military, resulting in disproportionate losses and further restrictions and loss of land. Even if you hate Israel and think the conflict is 100% one way you'd have to accept violence has been a complete failure. The world would have much more sympathy and UN attempts a chance at having an impact if they used passive resistance and diplomacy. I can understand pissed off people turning to violence and occasionally it can actually work, however in this case it has no prospect for success. Even if I thought Hamas was 100% justified, their approach in violent confrontation will fail and only make the plight of the average Palestinian worse.

This no fly zone has no chance for success either, Israeli backers are more powerful and Hamas' terrorism prevents them monopolising the moral high ground in the debate.

Come back to Earth, people. There is no such thing as a "no-missile zone". You want to know why nobody has ever asked for one? Because it is asinine, that's why. Seriously, how do you enforce that? How do you shoot an RPG down?

Also, colonist with muskets fighting armies with muskets is in no way comparable to people with AK-47s and RPGs trying to fight against smart bombs and gunships. The gap has widened to the point where any attempt to draw comparisons is doomed to failure.
