Quot Capita: Majesty

Hey guys, I just discovered that you've posted version 3.1.6 and I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl. It looks like you've added some awesome stuff to it. You continue to do an amazing job on it!

Now I'm going to have to rush to complete my 3.1.5 game now so I can install the new one. I've found 3.1.5 to be the most stable up to this point and have managed to finish several games without a fatal CTD.

I really liked 3.15. Late game still keeps my interest, which BTS itself was unable to do.

A couple of minor flag "issues" in 3.16. In the TeamColor folder in Quot Capita, there are 3 Atlantis flags. I would think two are unnecessary and could be removed.

Khazar... I can't seem to locate the flag. The game displays it as solid yellow. Here's a flag should you need one.

Australia... the flag is a Kangaroo, which is not what is located in the Australia Civ Art folder. It's a multi star flag in there. I'm not sure where the Kangaroo flag is located.

Germany is at the bottom of the rankings again... seems to happen in every game I play no matter what the mod. Strange.

Canada should have the Canada Corps renamed to something else. That's a relief agency, not a military unit.

So far, I'm liking it. You continue to do awesome work!

What do you think the Canada Corps should be changed to?

These are Trench Infantry units, right?

I hope you don't mind a little light reading as my answer.

Our overseas military was called the Canadian Corps, which refers to the sum of Canadian units fighting overseas during WW1, a total of 5 divisions.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Corps

They were also called the Canadian Expeditionary Force but that's too long and also refers to all our overseas troops.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Expeditionary_Force

I suppose you could call them CEF Infantry Battalion, or just CEF Infantry, since the units raised locally were shipped overseas as numbered battalions.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_infantry_battalions_in_the_Canadian_Expeditionary_Force

It would be really cool if the these particular units could get numbered in-game similar to how the Scottish Highlander units get named. The third link above lists all the numbered battalions: 1st Battalion, CEF as an example. Just a thought...

Load times seem to vary, unfortunately. If I sit and wait for it to load, it can take five, ten or even 15 minutes. If I decide to do something else while waiting, it loads within a couple of minutes. It's the "watched pot never boils" factor.

That sounds like a great idea to me...I'll get right on it.

How do you like the new era btw Kingpin? Do you think that Canada should have native type flavor units until colonial times or is the current setup ok?

Yeah..I always do something else while I wait for it to load and it doesn't seem to take as long.

I apologize for the waits...there is a lot of content for the mod to load, which is why it takes awile.

In the future I will look into FPKing some files to make things quicker.

I just had a CTD when making peace with Menzies of Australia. I will try it again and see if it is reproducible.

EDIT: Didn't crash this time. Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.

Hehe...that is odd though.

I decided to reinstall the mod and started a new game. I've had a CTD in this one as well. I'm going to try to track down which Civilization is responsible. It repeats every time at that spot. I'll keep you posted.

I've ruled out the following: Atlantis... Khazar... Byzantium... Carthage... Germany... France...

It's one of the fantasy civ's Kingpin. I am having similar issues while I'm working on the GEM TSL map scenario for this mod. I just haven't had time to track the little bugger down and fix it yet.

It looks like it's England causing the problem. I deleted all the English cities and units in play except a few workers and the game continued.

Now to figure out what about England is causing the issue.

EDIT: And after deleting all the units, it still crashes.

EDIT: After deleting the cities, leaving only one each time, it turns out that the capital city is crashing it. It was only a quarter of the way though building a settler. I have posted a city screenshot. Perhaps someone can figure out what is happening.

I deleted the city in the editor and rebuilt it but it still crashes.

Brits? Hmnn. I've been having issues with Atlantis that is similar to your problem. Might be in the cityplot_dll...

That's another tough question. Canada didn't become a nation until 1867, which is rather late in the game.

But if you trace the history of the geographical area that became Canada, you would have to have mostly native units until colonial times and then a combination of French and English units.

I'd like to do that with Canada's units if possible...

On the crash, Kingpin which leader are you playing as?

One other factor, is I believe PerfectMongoose type maps may be producing a crash like that. I've been playing Perfectworld2QC maps and haven't run into the same crashes...
