Quot Capita: Majesty

Victoria on a Perfectworld2QC map

Hmm I don't think its the leader then. Was there any text that appeared at the top of the screen shortly before the crash btw?

I do notice that rarely, BUG mode related errors occur, and I experience crashes. The last one was not reoccurring though...hmmm

Nothing appears on the top before the crash.

I'm going to start a new game. Here's the game settings for future reference, just in case it crashes:
20 Random Civilizations, Planet_Generator_0_68, Large size, Starting in the Renaissance Era, Epic Speed, All other settings at default.
Options Checked: No City Flipping From Culture, New Random Seed on Reload, Require Complete Kills, No Revolutions, No Inquisitions, No BarbarianCivs.
Victories: All except space race.

Wish me luck!

EDIT: I still get occasional non-repeated crashing. I'll try redownloading and reinstalling the mod.

Does anyone have an idea why the game would crash when opening World Builder?

I'm beginning to think these crashes are the result of some wider problem on my computer.

I have removed and reinstalled my graphics drivers, Civ4, Civ4 Warlords, Civ4 BTS along with all the necessary drivers. Then removed, redownloaded and reinstalled the mod and I still have crashing.

Wow, I've never seen that before. I'd toss that one over to the guru's in tech support forum Kingpin.

I know I'm still having issues with the scenario I'm working on, but that's SDK related I think.

It could be computer related.

For example I believe it was mentioned that Windows 10 could a problem with Civ4 mods.

Regardless I thankyou for putting up with all this Kingpin, and that goes for you as well Drak!

And Herioc thanks for trying to help as well!

I've followed all the instructions regarding proper installation on the forums and it just isn't working right. I don't know what else to do.

I can't say it is Windows 10 problems, unless a recent update messed things up. It had been working perfectly for quite a while.
I followed the instructions on the forums for installing the game rather than using the game's default installation path.

I wonder now if it may be python related. Sometimes I get recurring crashes. I think the Eventmanager may be in a bad location. I will test it out and let you know if anything happens.

You could also try moving the Eventmanager file to the Python/Quot Capita foldier also if you wish.

Did you move the config.ini file from /MyGames to your current location?

Civ has a nasty habit of separating files unless you clear the registry first. See if that file is in your /MyGames and then just move it over. It may help.

I believe the Warprizes modcomp I added may have been causing a lot of these crashes. The main difference between this version and the last version Python wise was the Warprizes modcomp.

I uninstalled it, we will see If I'm right.

Update: I have a hunch it may be a graphic related error...a small and stupid mistake...I'll keep you all posted

I'm also getting the same error on WinXP. I've tried 2 games and both start crashing around about Optics. PerfectWorld2QC - standard size, prehistoric start, longest turns (Odyssey?), 5 civs.

I did notice one weird thing - the date goes screwy. I'd guess I'm somewhere around the dark ages, but the date is showing something like 10,000 AD?!

Hope you find a fix because I'm really enjoying the mod, although I do find I need to bump up the difficulty settings to keep the challenge.

My most recent game has crashed right after getting Optics.

Up to this point, the game has functioned flawlessly.

Ok, so I've narrowed down the cause of the crash - it happens when I research any tech that advances to the Renaissance Era; Gunpowder, Constitution, etc.
I can't find anything useful in the log files, but I hope this will help you track down the cause.
Interestingly it also crashes if I select any Renaissance tech in the WB, but starting a new game at the Renaissance era worked fine. I wondered if it might be related to the Library of Ashburnipal (grants first player benefits) but even after deleting that from my city the crash still happened.

[EDIT]
Thought it might be related to the wonder that gives a free jail in every city before jails are allowed, so deleted this & made sure there weren't any jails anywhere, but nope - still crashed :(

I also wanted to provide a few more details on the weird date issue I'm seeing. I cleared out all the Civ caches before starting this game, but my game year is showing as

101315 AD
1253/4100 30.56%

and this is just at the end of the Classical Era - very odd & I've never seen this before with other mods.

I found the cause of the crash. It was due to a improvement graphic that I added, a windmill for the Renaissance to Industrial ages. I deleted it and restored the windmill to normal, and the crash is now gone.

Uploading fixed version soon...sorry everyone and thankyou for helping out with this..

Awesome - thank you !

Is this likely to break my current save or just a mini-fix?
