Quot Capita

With IDW? Post at first here, I'll check it first (no need to overload glider1 if it's not related to RevDCM actually - if it turns out it is, you can still post in RevDCM thread)

Ohh I'm sure it is from RevDCM. Actually i already asked glider1 about some of my issues. The biggest one is not a bug, i think the concept of IDW should be changed (just the ones regarding to city population changes)

I am getting a crash every time I try to load the mod. Anyone have any idea why? I don't have any prior versions and have the latest version of BTS. I downloaded the installer and installed the game. I have tried with blood effects and not and with VD leaders and without. I am not sure what would cause it, any info I can get you that would help?

Please try clearing your Custom Assets folder.

Hello! I've been playing your mod for a while and like it a lot! It really needs an earth map, though. Preferably one with 15-28 civs, all starting in their historic locations. I've seen a lot of earth map scenarios on this forum, but they are all running with mods I don't care for, or no mods at all. Quot Capita is really the only mod I enjoy using. Any chance of adding an Earth map, OP? I'm sure other people want one as well; Thanks!:goodjob:

After playing up to the modern era in my first game using this mod, I really enjoy it. A few suggestions though, which are mainly regarding the tech tree. I think it could use some tweaking, especially when it comes to the gunpowder era. I think Wolfschanze's retooling of it feels much more natural. Musketmen become obsolete way too quickly, and the airships availble /w physics has always bothered me (I love the flying machine though!). Once I'm done my game I'll post a few more thoughts.

Good mod, but it has crashed for me many times, and I'm now at a point where I can't progress at all because it crashes at the same point every time.

:(

Please provide a savegame and you install options and the setting in RevDCM if you changed them.

Here's a savegame. Not sure about install options, probably defaults. I dind't change any RevDCM settings, only normal BTS settings.

End the turn at that point, and BTS will stop working after waiting for other civs.

I haven't tried to go back several save games to see if that solves it yet.

Well, I tried going back a few save games, but I ended up getting "FATAL_ERROR, Memory allocatio failure - exiting program. Reason:bad allocation". Not the same crash as before.

Do you have the additional leaders installed?

Am I the only one to encounter the promotions issue with the Light Tanks??

Can anyone confirm if they also encountered it? If not, I wonder what broke it? Installing the Australian Civ plugin over the top of QC possibly??

I'm getting this same crash. I happened to save on the year 1766 and now the save game just crashes when I try to load it up. I also tried to load up a couple of the past autosaves too, none of those worked, it just crashed.

And I also have another bug, for some strange reason, right as I exit the Ancient era, my background music stops working. I went to the audio options panel and saw no folder was selected. I don't know if this has to do with your mod or not, but I've never encountered this problem before.

Thanks for these report, guys!
The good news is that a new RevDCM is on the way, probably in days, and so a new QC is on the way, too, hopefully with these issues solved.

Please report all problems you found so I can iron them out for the release.

Yup, this happens. The only workaround I found is loading much earlier save, created before "corruption" occured. If you don't have such save, you're out of luck, lost a couple of games this way.
QC is a great mod, but for some reason it seems FAR less stable than VD, even with all addons. :(

Oh, and BTW: could something be done about "modern" (industrial era) roads? Maybe it's just my poor eyesight, but they are virtually impossible to tell from railroads, having to enter maximum zoom just to check what is what is really annoying. Please, either change the palette or just get rid of the "modern" road graphic (I remember some earlier version of VD used "paved road" for "modern road", made the map much easier to read). If nothing else is available, I'd much rather have ancient dirt roads stick through the game... anything but this.

Two more for your Avain....

1) Mobile Artillery does not Range Bombard? When I saw that the Railway Gun doesn't, I thought it might be a design decision, but the Mobile Artillery unit doesn't range bombard despite the RevDCM option for Ranged Bombardment being selected.

2) Could be just aesthetics, then again, maybe not... When performing an aerial mission, the aerial units are using Final Frontier sounds? I'm not exactly sure of the reason for this, but I seem to remember in another mod someone found an issue where with DCM was using Ranged Bombard rules according to Final Frontier code (or something like that).... I can't remember who found it - Grave (History in the Making), Ripple01 (CivFusion), or Phungus (WolfRev/Legends of Rev)... but I remember someone came across it and found that the Ranged combat code was screwy in terms of the calculations it used as well because it used that FF code instead of the normal DCM code...??? Anyway I don't know squat about XML or Python, so I can't be more specific, but anyway.... :)

PS I still haven't been able to find what's wrong with the Light Tank.... and I don't think anyone else here is paying attention to this bug... all I did was install QC, then the QC Patch, then the Australian Civ module for QC... that was it.

I'm liking this mod, but I have some comments on peculiar bits.

*For one turn, I got a popup about a sacred cow taboo that began starving my people. I was not using Hinduism as a state religion, it kicked in after I built the Internet and it only lasted one turn. Why?

*I won the Space Race; the counter said I would win the next turn, but then Montezuma declared war on me and I never got named the victor.

*After building an arcology, the forests around my capital retreated back into the ground. That's maybe the weirdest bit.

One more thing: Is this compatible with Kai's Giant Earth Map? Because now that we have all the major leaders in WWII and an expanded modern tech tree, I want to use it to stage the ultimate historical scenario!
