Quot Capita

Check out the Leaders of VD thread
You can still help me with improving a few personalities...

Can do. I'll go ahead and gather up the personalities I've done and start up on the VD ones I haven't done yet. Well, a few at least.
Of the 25 I haven't done, I'll do Mongkut, Idi Amin, Lenin, Ibn Saud, Hussein, Caligula, Ataturk, Tamerlane, and Pinochet. Unless anyone's already done better personalities for them.
The rest either I don't think I could do one well (Cetshwayo, for example), or I just refuse to work on (Obama, Bush, Putin, Wu namely.)

Edit: On second thought, I'll do Bush.
I'm against his inclusion, but I'd like to see him at least get a less biased (Spi? Really?) personality.
Still won't do Obama, though. The man's barely done anything, he's only been president for so long, etc. What am I going to base it on? (Please don't answer that, we don't need political arguments.)
With Putin, it's my own biased knowledge I don't think I can really do the man justice because I don't know much about him from non-biased sources. If I tried to mix and match he'd be the most bipolar leader ever.

Cool TAdF, thx for helping!!
I answered you on the Leaders of VD thread, I suppose it's better if we continue this there

EDIT: Yeah I don't really like Obama and a few others included, but why not? Some people may like those leaders, and hopefully it will be modular so it won't bother anyone who don't...

Guys, don't kill each other.
While I too don't see the point of a mod like AUA, I suppose it can be useful for people (os79 claims he has a low vision).

Thanks for a compromise. I just will wait for a version of QC that does include AUA. I really believe that AUA help a lot with my vision. All minor battles can be easily handled by AI because the screen just move too fast for me. Especially in the late game.

Plus, I want to apologize for my own offensive word "obsolete". That was wrong of me. So let me thank you for your willingness to listen and eventually include this critical tool for a player with low vision. :D Looking forward to playing with QC again in future. And the changelog otherwise looks good too! :D

No need for an apology, I understand you meant no harm. I too am sometimes thinking about things I could have done/said differently...

Hi avain, I'd first like to say thanks for this awesome mod.
What i've got isn't a bug so much as an inaccuracy. For the advanced tactical fighter, the default model is of the Russian PAK-FA, and shows as the model for some American allies (i.e. England). It would probably make more sense for the default model to be the F-35, and to save the PAK-FA for Russia and India. Thanks

It was the F-22, but The Coyote did a superior model of the PAK-FA with damage states and teamcolor. This is why is switched it. Perhaps England could be switched back to F-22 (or F-35) in the future.

I just got TXT_KEY_EVENT_WORLD_BUCCANEERS or something as a random event or quest.

Hi there! I've just tried the mod and i love it, but have one qustion: how bad are MAF-s with this one. Vanilla BTS i can play on biggest map with max civs, no MAF-s whatsoever, but ROM for example crashes every turn in the industrial era if i play on a bigger map than large with more than 15 civs. So how is it with this one?

edit: also, is there a large or huge earth map for this mod?

Sorry for the late response, guczy. As Avain pointed out, I am working on real world maps for the QC mod. I was busy IRL in the past few weeks, but I am continuing my work on them as I am writing this :)

As I promised before, I plan to do maps of Earth and Europe for QC in three sizes: Tiny, Standard and Huge. Tiny Europe, Tiny Earth and Standard Earth are already done.

Currently I started to work on a Standard Size Europe Map (84x52), if everything goes well it should be done this week. The next map will be a Huge Earth Map.

*Oh, bugger!* I just knew I was gonna leave out sthg about those new events...

Thanks for the report!

I also checked the new version, so far everything looks awesome! :goodjob:

One question though: Now, that all the extra leaders are totally modular, why don't use them in a really modular way?
You could put them in an old-fashioned rar, and everyone can choose which leaders to copy in the Modules/Custom Leaderheads folder...
Or it would be seriously slower because these leaders are not fpk-ed anymore?

The start-up of the mod would be significantly slower (well, depending on how many LHs you choose)
Also, having it in a rar would invalidate the cool installer, which is a nice feature I think.;)

Ronyboss, I hope you don't mind I included your work with the mod?

A Quot Capita update is always relevant to my interests! Had a play earlier as the Mongols, I might be crazy, but I notice some new art. Also, the AI continues to baffle me by founding religions early and frequently. They also build wonders like nobodies business. Is it the case that the wetter you set the weather type in the map settings, the more storms you get?

I would assume that Better AI is the responsible for better decisions.
About the storms - well, I did not change the events from vanilla (except adding images + few new events from Next War - the latter missing TXT unfortunately, but I'll compile a patch for it)

I didn't really think you had adjusted the storm features. I was just kind of scratching my head after a couple of games in which storms kept annihilating my resource buildings on the map, sometimes right after I attained them. Thanks again!

Working great so far, one thing I did notice however, nothing seems to have flanking against bombards. Knights and Heavly Calv are probably good candidates for that.

Good catch, thanks!
