R.E.D. modpack

Usually this means that you either have not deleted the Cache Folder. The Mod Users Data folder or have a second copy of a mod in your Mods folder.

So i'm getting a problem where the game crashes whenever a mongol longswordsman appears. I played up to the turn where the bug happened, saved, loaded in the normal game (no mod) and a mongol longswordsman came out of FoW. Few turns later, turn the mod back on, works fine for two turns then crashes. I have the mac version if that makes any difference. Is this a known bug?

thanks, I'll have a look.

I deleted them, and it didn't fixed it... Maybe i reinstall the mod or the game?

try to lower your graphic settings.

on another (and general) note, what do you think of JTitan's pack for ethnic warriors ? no problem with the swords for warriors ?

I think JTitan's pack is brilliant and I'm all in favor of you integrating it. Even though I think the Civ V warrior is the most aesthetically pleasing of the series to date, I've never been a fan of them carrying clubs. It just looks too primitive to me.

These would be great. Warriors get a lot of exposure (especially in long games) and absolutely need some visual diversity.

No problem seeing metal weaponry a bit early as far as R.E.D. goes. The game's odd start date (late late Neolithic) and subsequent light treatment of the Bronze Age is the real problem here. Ideally, we'd have a longer opening and an early melee unit appear with metal working. That's in the realm of a gameplay mod, though, and I think outside of that it's better to represent early metal weaponry (other than spears) given how long warriors stay relevant. At worst, it's a toss up that has the benefit of added diversity.

here are the saves. quick is turn 226, the other is 227, the turn that wont load with your mod. not entirely sure that it's the mongol longswordsman that does it, thats just what i noticed

Ok, it was a problem with the mongol rifleman that was not correctly defined, thanks again for the save, will be fixed in next version...

And I will add JTitan's pack in it ;)

I'll have to hunt another cause of crash first, then will add the newest units.

to much work, not enough time. I'll update it when I got more free time, ATM priority is to update the mod :D

Love your Red extreme units pack. Absolutely brilliant. Also thanks for making it optional off Steam too. It`s appreciated.

Perhaps one day I`ll do some artwork for it in appreciation.

New version uploaded !

v.19 (Oct 10, 2012):
- Bug/Crash fix : Mongol Rifleman and French Composite Bowman were not correctly defined.
- All code for unit initialization use the new method introduced with v.16 (to allow faster update)
- Add a batch of new units thanks to JTitan :
Songhai scout
Ethiopia scout
Barbaric Invasion (warriors pack)
- Add some forgotten units from Danrell's packs, and some other to replace the UU's corresponding "normal" units in case of gift
Panther (Tank) and KingTiger (Panzer UU) to Germany
B-25 for America
and a few more I forgot to note, sorry...

And R.E.D. Xtreme is updated too, for easy upgrade of both file.

Remember that you need to install/update R.E.D. Xtreme after installing/updating R.E.D. Modpack, else the unit formations will be broken.

there is a problem with Steam (R.E.D. Modpack and R.E.D Xtreme entries are inverted, tried to upload twice, same error), so I've hidden the files there until I can sort it out...

Edit : fixed, both update available on steam workshop.
