Rage of the Gods: RFC DI

I am Sargacum, God of Fire.

I'd like to join a DI from the very start, it's more interesting to build up things slowly in my view. Babylon is a good choice for a nation that can have a lot of influence on the world throughout time so this could be a lot of fun :)

Questions;
Prince of Persia
1) On a sliding scale of wacky-serious how do you want the gods to conduct themselves? Some DI's go the serious immersive story route with subtle interventions while some seem to have god wars and ice ages before the second intervention is finished...

2) Will you be posting the save first or will you do a turnset and then post the save? What i mean is will you be setting up your empire first or will you allow the gods to alter the world first? I ask because I wouldn't mind tweaking some stuff on turn 0 so that exploration itself will be interesting for you.

Gods
3) Is everyone okay posting a spoiler summery of what they want to do as a god?

i.e. I might join as the God of Creation and Destruction, the Eternal Balancer.

This is an example of something for only gods to read on what I might want to do so other gods could chime in for or against certain bits if it clashes with what THEY want to do.
Spoiler Not for mortal eyes :

Map
I think the RFC map lends itself well to a reborn world. It would also allow alterations from history. Instead of a prehistoric world i'd like to put pre-built improvements down along with roads, city ruins and fallout. Hinting at a new world being built on the destruction of the old.

Actions
I would encourage new nations and seek to destory old ones. Maybe some quest lines about the redisovery of forgotten technology and maybe even weapons. Not just for the player. Perhaps to add some terror a Independent State may stumble onto an old stockpile of nukes to make the choice between peace with the independents or conquering them more tricky.

End-Game
RFC is very hard to win with conquest or domination. Especially with babylon. A Space race or culteral victory is what players normally have to go for.

An idea is to bring in something to build tension at the end. Perhaps the moon is going to crash into the earth and gods can only affect the planet meaning the mortals have to save the day with the technology for a spaceship? Or perhaps the world is so badly damaged from fallout that it has caused an ice-age to slowly start to spread and the humans need to get out.

Sure - I'll put a spoiler of my intentions.

Spoiler Not for mortal eyes :
Map:
As the Shadow of Grief - the cause of all saddening events, I plan to reduce resources for everyone, reduce coins, and even reduce livable land. None can win me over.

Actions:
Like I said before, my interventions will include making the rich poor. I will not be able to reverse my actions - such as rewarding Babylon (my rewards will be as such: you will not be punished). Until the earth is let down, I will not stop.

End-Game:
By the end, most of the land will be desert, fallout, marsh, or snow. My changes CAN be reversed, as rewards or whatever. But anyway, I have NO intentions to destroy anyone.

My intents:
Spoiler :
Protect Rome from harm by military, stability, and Gods. I will not go on the offensive, unless the other Civ declares war first. I'll beef Rome up a bit, but not an absurd amount. I will let them operate on their own unless something threatens them. If they dissolve into civil war, I will give them their cities in Italy back, along with a reasonable military and a bunch of buildings.

Also, I will need someone to make my edits for me. Not necessarily the same person every time, but hopefully someone. :please:

Spoiler NFPoPE (not for Prince of Persia's Eyes) :
The Vikings are my chosen people when they turn up. Other than that: expect occasional blizzards and ice turning up in odd places.

Cernunnos was the god of the underworld, as far as I know ;)

I sign up as Stro'loch-Ba'al, god of chaos and disorder.

According to Professor Wik E. Pedia, it is :"speculated" that he is god of fertillity, but no one is confident.

Anyways, I decided to change to the god Epona, Celtic god of horses, donkeys, and mules. Keeping with my name ;)

Build shrines to the greatness of my chosen beast (stables), and you shall prosper, mortal! Long live the noble equine!

Spoiler Not for Mortal Eyes :

Intentions:

1. Oppose with all human godly ability the destruction of the Shadow of Grief

2. Help the steppe lords (Mongolia), whoever else utilizes the horse well (civs with horse UU's, i.e., Spain), and whoever builds monuments to my greatness (stables).

3. Spread the gift of horses to nations yet unaware of their potential (spread horses tpo places lacking them, i.e., the Americas, sub-Saharan Africa).

4. Help the Celts, as they are my chosen people.

Spoiler NFPoPE :
Celts? I assume you mean the minor ones that everyone is at war with?

Spoiler :
Yes. At least until the Euros spawn. Then I'll just try to guarantee their independence as a city in Ireland as long as possible.

Spoiler NFPoPE :
Guess you're lucky nobody's defending England, then. :p

No mortal shall observeth the writings of gods, for thou wouldst find it incomprehensible.
Spoiler :
Perhaps at 1600, you could give Celtia cities in Panama and New Zealand. And must I concern myself with the affairs of mortal nations?

Sounds like everyone has some cool ideas :)

I'll post some official intro once the game starts but consider me joined in for now.

Spoiler Not for mortal eyes :

Also to Linkman, will you be using byzantium then? Usually on old start maps they don't spawn but i'm pretty sure they can be added back in via worldbuilder.

Does anyone wish to, co-op one of the historical religions into their own symbol? I figured the Taoism symbol works for a God of Balance :-p So I might set up Taoism in the Independents City states around the world. Not sure where a religious capital should be. Of course Judaism spawns close to the babylons in a independent city state so I could use that instead of someone else wanted Taoism.

I assume the Rome-God will go the Christianity route?

Spoiler not for mortal eyes :
Confucianism looks like a good one for Ice to me, and it screws up China as well, which is a fun bonus :D

Spoiler :
Map:
As god of destruction and barbarism, I plan to spawn some barbarian strongholds and make some incursions a little bit stronger. As I want the world to be divided, I will help the Independents too.

Actions:
Take on a strong empire to make it collapse, give independence to '?', survive a Barbarian incursion...

End-Game:
As many Independents and Barbarians as possible.

Spoiler NFME :
I think I'm going to make rule IV of the first post my mantara for this game.
Less is more.
So I'll probably just be throwing round some resources if I'm happy, and if I'm not I might take some away.

Also the favored nation of Tetrisies is Russia

Spoiler NFPoPE :
The Shadow of Grief is worshiped by no one, and appears only to those who are truly tortured.
