My computer is quite new, but it only has2 gb ram and it is a horrible bottleneck... But i recently discovered ram saving programs (wait, this is not a spam bot ad ;) )

Anyway, which of the ram saving programs do you use, if any?

And is there anything negative associated with them?

I've also never heard of the term "RAM-saving" before. It's basically disposable (though should be recycled).

The only time I used something like that was when I had Windows 98 and there was a lot of memory leaks. I had a small program to clear it out without rebooting (which took literally over 5 minutes). But then when I got a new computer I did not need it anymore and I don't remember it.

A quick Google for http://www.wintools.net/ramsaverpro/ as an example. I guess it's conceivable that RAM could be used more efficiently - though I'd be wary how well such tricks work with Windows 7.

What is it you are doing that's a "horrible bottleneck"? Is this something that ought to require lots of memory (in which case, buy more), or is there something wrong? (As in, I've got loads of browser tabs open in Windows 7, along with Visual Studio Express, and my 3GB machine has about 1.9GB in use - it's unclear if you're experiencing problems with normal operation, or if you're doing something that reasonably requires more.)
