I got a 1510 the first time, a 1490 the second (both when it was out of 1600), and a 2120 the third (taken only because colleges required I have a writing score, although they didn't really care what said score was.). Every time I my verbal score was still considered a perfect 800, although I always missed either 1 or 2 verbal questions. The total number of question I missed the first 2 times was the same. Iirc, the third time I missed 2 questions on both math and verbal, but math only counted as a 740 while verbals was another 800. My writing score kind of sucked.
I know one guy who got an 800 on the writing section, but that made his total score only 1610. I don't think the writing section is designed or graded very well at all. They mostly care about having the essay follow a strict structure rather than have any decent thought through ideas, and count off you can't get that formulaic conclusion done before the 25 minutes are up.
I hate statistics. Although the curve on the last test made that horrible failure into a B, I haven't finished the homework about half the time so my final grade in the class won't be good and might not even be passing. I have a bunch of stats homework due tomorrow, and am thinking that I may not finish this time either. I'm supposed to go see a movie with some friends tomorrow night, but I'm not sure I'll be able to stay awake for it if I stay up trying to do stats work tonight. The last couple times I stayed up trying to finish stats hw I didn't get a lot done, and then overslept and missed all my classes. One of those times I never got my Fluid Mechanics hw done because of it, and another time I managed to get Fluids done only by copying someone else.
