That dude on youtube actually answered. Strawmanned me as far more left-wing than I am (which is reallly saying something) and called me a liberal .
This time the sheer stupidity of ot just gave me a good laugh.

I told Lil Tak to post about his day in excruciating detail. Then I deleted it.

Then Lil Tak actually posted about his day, in excruciating detail, as requested. I think it was over 600 words. Then he deleted it.

Now everything's a mess. This is CFC where everything is made up and the posts don't matter.

The Beatles?

[Real reply - they didn't look that good]

They also didn't get permanent residency. At least, I don't know if any of them did. If performers want to tour the US, what of it? If they can sell tickets, let them sell tickets. If their music actually sucks, well, this is pop music, so that hardly matters, does it? Most pop music today is about the spectacle, not the music. They were spectacle. And for a number of years, successful at it.

Told ya.

No, but sometimes they didn't wear bras which is a fetish in and of itself. Luckily, I was too young back then so I only cared about how awful their music was.

Maybe we should ask the mods to undelete both posts.

It's a shame he deleted it.

I'm trying to think of the most significant thing I've done today, other than rescuing the smileys from my ZetaBoards forums before they get migrated to Tapatalk without my permission (there's no way to opt out of this; the hosts are determined to ruin these forums), and the only thing that comes to mind is cuddling the cat.

Hoo baby are you in the right place, CFC is a fertile land for single ladies.
How many couples have there been, who met here and ended up together (whether temporarily or permanently)?

I keep getting emails from Tapatalk about the conversion, each email conveniently absent an unsubscribe link. Super rad.

I hate to say it, but I was right about YouTube when I said their ultimate goal was to push out independent content creators. YouTube just announced they are officially partnering with established media organizations in order to "create a better news experience" on YouTube. To cement this partnership, YouTube has invested $25 million into helping traditional media organizations like CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News increase their presence on YouTube.

I said back when YouTube Red was created that it was the first step to slowly pushing out independent content creators and becoming more like a traditional media organization. The next step was the demonetization of small content creators earlier this year, and now they are partnering with large media organizations. Now there are a lot of conspiracy types out there who think this is some evil plot to control the flow of information and brainwash people, but I think the motive is much simpler than that. YouTube as we know it has never been a profitable business model. Even before Google bought it, it was operating at a loss and has continued to operate at a loss under Google. Google obviously wants that to change since they have to keep sinking more and more money and resources into something that's not even making them any money. So they now want to transform YouTube into a more traditional media platform and push out the content creators in a bid to both reduce the amount of resources they have to commit to YouTube and draw in more advertisers, sponsors, and investors.

That is kind of a problem I have, I don't know where to find someone
I've kinda been estranged from everyone I used to know at university, so I can't go there.
Also pretty sad in itself, that I don't have anyone even slightly resembling a friend at university anymore

So, do you oppose capitalism yet?

Apparently you have to log into your account and unsubscribe that way. I found this out by going to Tapatalk's website and sending them a scathing email, complaining that they were spamming me with emails pertaining to other forums I had no interest in, and that I only wanted emails pertaining to forums I actually belong to, and by the way, they should include links in the emails they send.

I'm looking for alternative hosting, and am currently testing ProBoards. It's not at all intuitive for someone accustomed to Invision Power Boards. Jcink is much easier for me, but there's someone on my Doctor Who forum who can't handle that (she lives in a rural area of Ontario where doing much of anything online isn't easy).

Jcink loads faster than Invisionfree/Zetaboards so that's surprising. It even has a lo-fi version (now bundled with the mobile version, accessed via a link in the copyright footer).

I have no real idea why she'd find Jcink hard. I'm just going by what she said. She's like me with technology - prefers not to upgrade (or start in the first place) until it's unavoidable). I'll look into that, though, and see if there's anything that can be done.

We might need to go to a premium service, and I wouldn't mind paying for Jcink. It's worth it to me to have something I already know how to work with, for customizing stuff. When I knew we were going to lose the IF version of the forum I snagged every smiley and custom icon we had, as well as taking screenshots so I'd know exactly which background went where (I have some really nice Classic TARDIS backgrounds, with the grey roundels; the forum actually did look like being inside the console room, with a starry background).

So on a Jcink forum I'd have a good chance of being able to re-create that. On ProBoards... I'm still trying to learn my way around those as a member, never mind the ACP. It's frustratingly non-intuitive.

Go and do classes in your free time.
Sports, dancing, cooking, whatever.
You'll meet people there, including pretty girls ^^.
This is obviously a long term plan, and will not get you.... into a romance... tomorrow evening.
