On another occasion I'd say something along the lines of ‘hand them over’ but this time I'll just tell you to stop, man. Stop.

At least buy them off Steam, man!

On a different note, Ivanhoe was by Sir Walter Scott. It's perhaps his most famous novel and lends a great deal to the modern Robin Hood mythos :)

My Grade 5 teacher read us Ivanhoe. Many years later I tried to read it for myself, and found it so boring that I can't recall how I failed to fall asleep in school when we had to listen to it.

Funny thing about literature and games... I got hooked on Big Fish Games after buying The Count of Monte Cristo, when they had it on sale for 99 cents. I liked the game so much, I later bought the book (hard to find an unabridged English edition here; I was ready to grab a dictionary and tackle the French version on Project Gutenberg when I finally got a copy).

I read half of Monte Cristo when I was a teenager, but I don't recall why I gave up reading it. Possibly because it was just really longwinded.

Ben Bova's Grand Tour novel Mercury is basically an adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo, except the protagonist is an engineer who builds a space elevator and is falsely accused of sabotaging it (it falls to Earth and due to the planet's rotation the death toll is in the millions). His prison is being permanently exiled from Earth on a ship that makes a regular run between Selene (the colony on the Moon) and Ceres (where the asteroid miners are based), and it's interesting how his quest for justice turns out.

can't verwandlung (forvandling) just be translated to change

no. it means metamorphosis, transformation, conversion, morphing, but definitely not change. change is much too general.

Germans have words for everything.

And the translation of that is...?

So do what I do and don't let Steam save your payment details. You'll soon get bored of flash deals if you have to enter your card details and address each and every time.

Victim blaming me some more! Have you no heart?

But yes, I don't save my payment information anywhere. The Summer Sale doesn't have flash deals anymore. That's so 2015. ;)

I do this and can confirm it doesn't deter me from impulse buying on deals

Well it deters me long enough to consider whether I actually want the game or not.
