Random Rants VI: See, this is why we can't have nice things!

No, no, no!

The commercial goes: Can you see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

Nah see that's because of the cinnamon sugar swirls in every bite.

Captain Crunch, while pretty tasty, makes the roof of my mouth sore and very uncomfortable.

No, no, no!

Goddamn it!

Captain crunch and cinnamon toast crunch are different.

Sour patch kids make underneath my toungue hurt.

I have a concert in six hours and:
a) I've got a cold sore on my lower lip, that looks terrible right now
b) all the 3 bass strings on my guitar make absolutely awful buzzing sounds that I really can't explain (it happens on some guitars, but this guitar is brand new, and I've played with new strings that the guy I bought it from put on right in front of my eyes, and it had no problem at all, in fact I even liked the fact that it didn't make any buzzing sound at all!)

I hate when things like this happen unexpectedly. I hate them.

And still you post?

:p

:p

I just had the concert. :p The buzzing thing completely destroyed two of my pieces, but I don't think that actually anyone in the audience noticed. :p :D I had a long programme anyway.

Rant: This country is frustrating like hell. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CONCENTRATE ON MY PLAYING when 5 amazing 20-year-old girls in miniskirts continuously move their legs for half an hour in the first row???? HOW??? And the flower girl (the one who brings flowers at the end of the concert)... and the MANAGER of the museum... and the daughter of the owner... And the f[censored by me] girl that sells the tickets!!!!! WTH are those people eating here, how can they have these unbelievable "specimens" walk every street for every day and night continuously?? What are their mothers doing that's so special?? I don't get it! It's one of the most frustrating places to be in, especially since I'm not going to be able to follow the guitarist tradition of drinking/partying until the morning after the concert, since I'm having another one tomorrow!! AHHHHHHHHHHH [pissed] There's something deeply wrong with this place. :crazyeye:

You can just go on any street with a camera and record the random people walking, and say in awe "the human body is beautiful". I'm only interested in half of these humans, but... it's amazing. I really can't understand why or how this can happen anywhere on Earth. And they all just... look at me, smile, and move on. Ahh

Actually, a better idea is to either avoid upperclassmen altogether, or to imerse yourself in their world. There is no more powerful freshman than the one with juniors and seniors backing him up. Rule the school!

I'll probably avoid the seniors (I don't even know them or they don't give a crap about me), though I do know a few juniors. Well.

Also, I am going into 9th grade also, and will not ask a senior where the next room is.

Classes start tomorrow. Hooray for waking up around 6:20 every other morning, going poor from university fees, and reentering the world of sleep deprivation.

Sleep deprevation is your own choice. I speak from experience

Early morning custodial will be great for my schedule, but man I do NOT want to get up at 3:00

I wonder do classical guitars have truss rods. :hmm:Because on my electric guitars, whenever there's anything from a change of strings to a change in environment, the Bow can get thrown off causing unholy buzzing. It usually just takes a small truss rod adjustment.

^I think some do, but I could be wrong.

Blackie, my oldest cat, died tonight. I thought she was sleeping a few hours ago and went to pick her up and she was dead. She's been part of my life and family for 15 years. I guess I should be glad she died peacefully, but it's not really a comfort right now.

Oh man. :( Our house cat's almost as old as I am, and she's started to decline noticeably.

:( I feel for you man

I'm sorry, V. :( I'm sure she had a wonderful life with you.

I live on the second floor, but I have to use an elevator because there are no non-emergency stairs, and EVERY time I call the elevator, some loser steps out thinking it's the first (ground) floor then goes red and steps back in. The first time it happened it was funny, and it's not like I've never got off an elevator on the wrong floor, but having lived in this apartment for over a year and putting up with this almost every day is getting very old. I'm obviously not the only one either, because I got off on my floor once only to be reminded by a woman similarly pissed off that this was the second floor.

Tricare sucks. Unless I'm willing to drive 30 miles to see a doctor close to an AFB, I get no health coverage. Absolutely wonderful. My budget is tight enough without having to get a SECOND healthcare plan

Well, I did to well in my time trial on Saturday. I moved up four groups, into the second training group. That's fine except that my new steady pace(The pace that I'm supposed to be able to hold for over an hour) is now faster than my old up tempo pace(which is supposed to be very hard). So yeah, my legs hurt a ton today and will for the rest of the week. The good thing is that next week is a recovery week so I'll have some time to catch up to my paces. After that I should be good.
