As some of you might know, as I've posted about this many times I'm a bit of an insectophobe and arachnophobe, although these days I've gotten past the fear of most insects and they just provoke me disgust (still a bit of an arachnophobe though - large spiders still scare me for apparently no reason, and yes, somehow I was more afraid 3 months ago when a large spider was on my neck than last year when I met a live, wild bear in a forest in Romania).
So I was sitting here at the computer, right on this chair in front of this monitor. The monitor is the only light in the room. I see a mosquito flying around. It's annoying and I hate their bites, so I try to quickly grab it with my left hand.
I look inside my palm and I can't see it, so I'm just thinking "bleah, it probably just went away and I wasn't fast enough". Then I see a very thin line of blood in an unusual spot on my hand. I have no idea how it could have gotten there, unless it was from the mosquito. So I look again in my hand, and the mosquito is not there. I think that I must have somehow killed it by pressing it against something else, instead of pressing it against my hand, and it barely touched my hand and that's why I don't see it.
Something like 3 minutes later, while typing, I feel something on my little finger. As I'm a guitar player, I often get pieces of skin peeling off the tips of the fingers of my left hand. As they are somewhat dangerous to your fingers if you still have them while you play, I often cut them off with a special pair of scissors. But since often I'm way too lazy to turn on the light, find the thing, etc, I often bite them instead and it works quite good.
So I bit it... And I felt something in my mouth. I point my finger towards the monitor and look... I could see something that used to be a mosquito stuck on my pinky. And then it occurred to me: I must have killed it that way, and I've just bitten half of it.
I go to the bathroom. There's blood on my finger, blood on my hand, blood on my teeth and on my tongue and even on my upper lip... And I spit in the sink and there's half a mosquito coming out of my mouth.

I don't know if you can imagine how gross that can be for someone afraid of insects.
And since it was so full of blood, it must mean it bit me first, too. I still have goose bumps, 6-7 minutes after washing all the blood off.
