Random Rants VII: Why do they ALWAYS do that?!

One of my ''friends'' on facebook, who is a complete loser and only on my friends list strictly for the lols, has changed his name to ''Is going to die today (and so is everyone else)''. This obviously referes to the Large Hadron Collider being switched on. Now, I don't know many of the details about this, and admittedly a large part of my knowldge of it is from reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, but I have read up enough to know that there is only a miniscule chance that the Earth will be destroyed. Just looking at him is making me cringe. He is the sort that believes, age 16, that dragons exist and are lliving in secret behind waterfalls, and is the exact type of person who would actually believe he is going to die today. It's so enfuriating, and I don't quite know why.

I hate the way the maths department and english department at my school have to spite each other at every opportunity. However, I really hate it when they both schedule important SACs on the same day even though for the next 3 weeks all we'll be doing is revising for end of year exams.

Jerks...

I hate my history teacher.... he's soo ********, knows nothing about history, and is obviously only teaching so he can coach his sport..... whatever it is

ugh..... it angers me greatly to see one of my favorite subjects be abominated by such a man as he!

And you know the worst part about that? Being in the teacher's union means he gets to keep his job no matter how crappy a job he is doing.

I got pulled over by a cop today while running

Spoiler :
Apparently, running in the bike lane is a crime. He let me off with a warning but he said it's a $150 ticket. there wasn't a bike for at least three miles. I would get out of it if I did see one though, even without the law. Stupid law.

My mom admitted she has a "strong dislike" for Chinese people, and my dad has the same opinion about black people.

Sometimes I really hate my parents. I know they nurture me and feed me and clothe me and educate me but goddammit, sometimes they are so...i dunno. Whatever.

its true..... all we did today in his class was watch youtube videos that pertained the the topic we're on (Ancient American cultures)

not to mention it seems all he is really telling us are answers that 2nd graders have for their history classes

I go to a Union-free school district!

Rant: However, I still have to write papers. [pissed]

I fail at reading in 6/8 and 3/8.
I've been trying to get the feel for it all week, since two of my three exercises have those time signatures, to no avail.

And I magically lost the ability to play D7.
And I don't like playing scales the professional way.

And I'm definately failing that flute lesson tomorrow morning because nothing's polished because I can't play any of them perfectly. Rhythms are epic failures in the foreign time signatures, expecting me to change from all-county style scales to 'professional' style scales in the course of one week is madness, and not being able to play that D really only makes it worse.

And my jaw hurts something fierce which means I've either been practicing for too long or my embouchere stinks, and since this whole flute lesson is going down the drain tomorrow, I'm going to go with the latter and call it quits on practicing for tonight.

My mother doesn't like Northern Europeans, for some reason or another.

I haven't respected her since hearing it.

I am never taking formal music lessons... Books and self practice for me...

Most parents are like that I think. My mom doesn't like black people either. And one of my grandfather's favorite sayings is "If you scratch a Muslim you'll find a Pakistani underneath."

My great grandma used to say: "Never trust a chinee". That's how she would say it. Course she died way before I was born.

How can she not like North Europeans? We're just like Americans but slimmer :p.

I think its good that although your parents our mildly racist you don't agree with them and find it distasteful. I think this generation will be practically racism-less.

Number of threads on the first page: 45.
Number of threads on the first page about the US 2008 Presidential election: 15.
Number of threads about the VP nominee on the ticket not expected to win: 7.
Throwing in a reference to an overused parody of an ad campaign: priceless.

I do not care about football.

I do not care about football.

I do not care about football.

Please stop talking to me about football.

it rains like hell and i have to go through it.

I want a summer, i'll even settle for an Indian summer. Just, not this crap. :(

:ack:

Well, the professor's really nice and helpful but she expects a little bit too much of me. I've got 13 other credit hours besides her and even though I've changed from 'music major' to 'enjoyment learner' it's still like having a 3 credit hour class because of all of the etudes, new styled scales, duets, and all that good stuff even though the lesson is only half an hour.

I think next semester I'll give piano a go since bass clef is becoming secondhand nature now. I'd rather take lessons for something completely foreign to me. And not from school. I'll get my friend Kent to teach me because I hate being graded. I just want to learn.

Also: I can't open this salsa bottle! I've tried using my bare hands, putting a washcloth over it, and even went out in the garage and tried using some tool I cannot name on it and the stupid thing still won't open, not to mention my hands are red and achy now.

Rubber husband.
