My wife was laid off before Christmas, and I have been put on a four day week. We now have to survive on 40% of what we used to earn.

Life sucks. But it will get better......right?

Well here's one that's a bit above my usual standard...

As somaya know I'm going to China in April, so I went to the doctor to get a shot for Hepatitis, one of the vaccines you need. We had to drive all the way up county to this huge medical group place, we wait for a while, and then some nurse comes out and tells us that the doctor won't gimme the shot unless I see some "infectious disease specialist", who just so happens to practice out of the same building. So now not only do I not get the shot, we gotta pay another doctor to do something the first doctor should've done the first time we asked him. I'm no expert but it has all the symptoms of a racket to me. I feel used, tricked, hoodwinked, bamboozled, and otherwise mistreated. When I get back from China I'm gonna find me a new doctor. I hope somebody slashes that quack's tires.

I need to buy a new charger for my laptop. I also need to buy books for class which will come to several hundred dollars. God damn uni its a scam, isn't our tens of thousands in tuition enough?

You should move away from the US. Here I pay ~ €200 in fees a year and all the books I need are free in the library, assuming I reserve them in time. And I come from a relatively well off family so it's not like I'm on a huge amount of welfare to have such low fees.

I don't really get how that helps your predicament, but hey it probably would be cheaper to move than pay the extortionate US college fees so I guess its a somehwat realistic solution.

First part in the series: Rihanna:

I FRIGGIN' HATE THAT HORRIBLE EXCUSE OF A SINGER.

Why? Her songs are terrible. They're friggin' awful. How about singing a song where you don't sound like YOU'RE TAKING A HUGE DUMP?

And they're just awful. Unoriginal. One was basically the girls' version of Tainted Love.

Worst part: EVERY SINGLE FRIGGIN' SONG OF HERS IS OVER-GODDAMN-PLAYED!!!

Jesus. That song she did with TI. THAT WAS EVERY OTHER GODDAMN SONG PLAYED ON EVERY SINGLE DAMN RADIO STATION!

Now, her newest song is becoming that.

Yeah and I go to a state school too. I have a large amount of federal aid and a scholarship plus I work on campus so with that I roughly manage to cover everything though it is stressful to make sure I keep the scholarship and reapplying for federal aid every year and working between classes. I sometimes wonder if I should have gone to uni in India.

I look like a bum who lives under a bridge in a cardboard box if I dont shave regularly. Also dear old dad is getting on my nerves, constantly berating me for the smallest and most insignificant things like how I pour the coke from the bottle.

Furthermore last night I was in some kind of waking nightmare. I was awake but I couldnt move any of my limbs, like I was paralyzed. I vaguely remember getting up and moving my left arm in sluggish fashion before going back to bed, but it wasnt me in control, more like something in the back of my skull. Later still in bed, I realized that somehow I was clutching a cell phone in my hand, it took all my strength to bring the screen towards me and when I did the screen...just shimmered or rippled....it was like something was trying to materialize, all followed by weird almost demonic like noises. I immediately turned it away and it stopped. Now I know for a fact it wasnt a dream, so that makes it one hell of a hallucination. Which is quite a feat considering I've never done any drugs.

Oh well everything has it's ups and downs, including madness.
