Seriously, any sort of hitting the kids, no matter how bratty, shows how incompetent you are as a parent (firstly, because your kid is so bratty and secondly because you are hitting them... yup thats a score for nuture indeed)

I bet you guys who support such sort of 'discipline' were either just as bratty or worse as kids, or were raised by parents who used such methods of 'discipline'

Not necessarily. Often when a kid is spoiled, it is the parents fault - but it could be the fault of one parent, and not the other, or of other authority figures in the child's life. (Grandparents, or other overindulgent relatives, for example) And corporal punishment can be quite useful.

My parents did spank me when I was little, but I actually wasn't a particularly problematic child. I was actually rather well behaved, better so than my brothers. Seriously, I was, and am a generally well behaved person; when I disagree with my parents I tell them so calmly, I don't throw things or scream or hurt anyone, I never have. Just in my nature, I suppose. You shouldn't make such wide, sweeping generalizations about others - remember, generalizations are bad.

My girlfriends mother hates me, i mean hate me as in refusing her daughter to see me hate me. She's never met me tough, she just know that i'm 20. Im 20 and my gf is 15, i can understand her mother worrying, but if she knew me att all she'd know im not some 20 year old big alkoholic moron who's only after her dauger for one reason. If so wouldnt i have moved away as soon as her mother anounced she didnt want her to have anything to do with me?

Tomorrow its been 2 weeks since i last saw her Not that it matter right now tough cause shes sick.

Today in my gym class I finished 2nd in a 1500m run and my buddy finished 2nd last. So I casully said, "Hmm, put us together we're average." A bunch of wannabe gangsta rappers overheard and started to make jokes about how I'm gay (which I'm not) and that's a gross thing to say. How the hell can "put us together we're average" sound gay? Well that's teenagers for ya.

My legs hurt right now. I haven't been able to run or exercise much over the past few months, because i've been hurt...and now all my muscles have atrophied...so when I began to do some light jogging...I don't have the stamina, and I'm sore later.

1500m is close to a mile, right? A mile is 1600 IIRC.

Anyway, I know you didn't ask me, but my mile is 6:10.

Yup, 1600m is the mile. 6:10 you say? Thats pretty dang good We had kids on the track team back in high school that couldn't run a 6:10.

Switching from the 1600m in indoor to now doing the 1500m in outdoor is strange. My personal record so far is 4:23 (for the 1500) , but thats with a whole bunch of training.

My rant:
I'm not sure if non-college aged people will be able to relate to what I am ranting about, but I hate it how people in the lunch line take FOREVER to put food on their plate, and I can't slide my tray down further because they are taking so long. Is it so hard to scoop food onto your plate, slide your tray, and get out of the line? Why must people take so long for such a simple task?

Also I can't stand the people that put their used lunch trays on the conveyor belt in the back of the belt section, so that everybody has to wait 10 minutes for your gay tray to move before more people can put their trays on.

Finished in 6 minutes, 20 seconds. Pretty good for a 14 year old I'd say.

I was a midfielder for my school's lax team back in the day, second fastest on the team. I still run every day, to keep in shape for the USN.
