Ugh...I got 1810 on my SAT...load of balls. Now I need to retake it.

Reading Comprhension: 710

Math: 590

Writing: 510

Total: 1810

And on top of that I had my Spanish oral exam today, and my 3 hour 2 paper English SL exam. Tommrow I have a joyous 6 hours of exams and 4 papers with Spanish and Economics HL.

NO MORE EXAMS FOR ME! yesssssss

Depends on the university. 1650 is rather mediocre and on the lower end in my generalized opnion relative to my goals.

Personally I'm hoping for a 2000 minimum. Anything higher would be better.

a normal universty not ivy league stuff maybe like the university of texas?

One way to raise your GPA is to stop posting and start studying. ;)
(Unless you take courses at 1am-5am in the morning, you should be sleeping those hours)

Online calculus classes often forced me into being up late.

Maybe that's why I got a C.

Normally the gloriously cold Scottish weather has became the pits of hades, due to the vile summer heat.

Now I am baking, unable to move in rivers of sweat, and my PC is melting.

All my fan is doing is blowing hot air around the room...

I am withering under burning gales of doom!

:(

Meanwhile, about 10 minutes walk from me, torrential rain has caused massive flooding. Fortunately, I live on a hill, but it makes walking to the shops slightly hazardous.

~1500 or so is average, so you're slightly above average, but not hugely so. SAT scores aren't the be all and end all, though - you being an exchange student would definitely help, since most schools want "diversity". Good grades in high school and good extra curricular activities also help.

Yeah, I was accepted by almost all of the 13 colleges I applied to, the others were wait listed.

Haha, I only applied to the CUNY schools. Brooklyn, Hunter, and Queens. Got into all three. Since Brooklyn College is literally ten minutes away from me, I chose Brooklyn ;-)

I do not think it is right for parents and children to ask for money for their hockey team outside the liquor store.

Their team is not a charity. It is a hobby. Begging for money to play hockey is just plain wrong.

And avoiding them gets in the way of my drinking time. They are most inconsiderate.

Rant over.

Applied to Brooklyn, Hunter, and Baruch of the CUNY choices. Of course, now that I moved, I'm closer to Brooklyn but I go to Pace.

Meh, thats somewhat close to what I got, and I got in everywhere I applied (only back in my day, we didnt have that newfangled writing test)

What is the scale between the old and new SATs anyway? Since I feel like the only one around here that took it before it was redone. If y'all are stressing, before calming your fears, I should have some idea of what the heck an 1800 is.

Though, if it matters any, I won a 650 on the SAT II Writing.

First there were 2 categories: Reading and Math. Now they have added a third: Writing.

Combine his reading and math scores and you will see what he would have gotten on the old SAT, and I *think* all the categories are out of 800.

Yep, each section is out of 800

650 or better in each section is considered a "good" score for competitive colleges.

Personally, I think that "good" begins with around 700 in each section, or 2100 overall.

To convert a "new score" to an "old score" just take the new's reading and math, and add them together. The writing portion's worthless anyway. :)

Disclaimer:
2100 new score; 1460 old score

Level 2's:
English Lit 740
Math IIC 800

I got into 2 colleges out of 7 applications. :)

(I'll turn this into a rant on the US college admissions process later. Oh, and the US education system. The fact that a 500 is average in each section is a national disgrace. :))

eek, just did my stats GSCE, done the coursework, did the massive exam yesterday ( that was the reason for my absence- revision needed) so that's my stats over with, ooh, I am now worried about the results!

my teachers! God, they are so un inspired! My science teacher takes a minute to finish a sentance, and he is a . .. .. .. . teacher at the best of times, my maths teacher's most comman saying is " well you didn't do to badly" or " better then I expected from this class" my french teacher is a nice person, but a bad teacher, and my geography teacher os a pervert!

The test is a load of poo anyways. It in no way measures your ability to succeed in life, in school, in anything. If that is your idea of a national disgrace then so be it.
