I hate exams. I've done 20 so far in this season, and still have 6 left.

 26 exams??? Why so many??? What year are you in?

Year 11. GCSE year. I do three languages, with around four exams each, and then there's just the other subjects' exams...

Some exams are 2 hours and above: maths, statistics and media studies; others are 50 minutes, like various Latin, Italian or German exams.

Still hard-going though.

 I only took 8 this year. Even if my full schedule had been GCSE, I would have had no more than 18. 26? That's a serious bout of work, considering what just 8 did to my schedule.

I hate people who pronounce Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq wrong. Seeing as how I am from Pakistan and Afghanistan, I hate people who say those wrong especially.

The a's in all of those are pronounced like the a in car, not the a in can!
The I in Iraq and Iran are pronounced like the i in jiffy, not the one in ice!

Anyone else have long stretches of time where it seems like every minute is filled then enter another stretch where it seems you have all the time in the world? This explains why I seem to always be on OT...taking breaks in between this clean-up job in this room and preparing the place for a move.

At least it should find a happy equilibrium in a couple months. This first half of 2007 was exhausting.

OK, personally, I have no idea what the first sentence means.

Yet you feel qualified to tell us how to pronounce it . . .

'Ayn (ع) is an Arabic letter, somewhere between a vowel and a consonant, with a very distinctive pronunciation. It is the first letter of the word "Iraq" as it is spelled in Arabic, so if you are not pronouncing it that way, it doesn't really matter whether you use long "I" or short "I", either way it is a translation so to speak.

Ok... here's a good one. A customer called me for a password reset. I told her that her new pass word is S-T-R-E-E-T, she said F-T-R-E-E-T? I said "No, 'S' as in 'Sam'", she said "F as in Sam"? Some people... I swear!

Tell me about it. I still have three exams left...

Ever since I lost weight and became unbearably hot again, strangers dont stop nodding and smiling at me. Very irritating.

I know, I know.

It amazes me how some people manage to function.

There's too much crap in the forum. Too many hypothetical what ifs about holy figures and girl threads. And I can't think of anything interesting to post...

Driving me crazy, tis.
